Looking at the realigned conferences for next year, The SEC has 11 of the top 25. B1G has 10. ACC has 3. and then Notre Dame. No other conference has a team represented.

Michigan has won 1 national championship in 74 years. A bit over rated. They’ve won a lot, just not since the 40’s.

That was an amazing run. Looking at the rankings of those years the teams ranked above them and the schedules... Tennessee deserved better IMO.

Fortunately, this was the Wild West of CFB and the AP solely didn’t determine who was the national champion.
It’s pretty much widely accepted how flawed this era was and several years have multiple legit champions (not talking about one random publication going rogue).
