I didn't realize Clemson had 2 losess and gave up half a hundred to a team with 1 p5 win. Totally the same scenario.

Umm, Duke was 8-4 in 2015... 4-4 in the ACC. That’s not exactly elite.

Clemson is one of eight undefeated P5 teams and only one of their games wasn't a blowout win. That's probably good enough to justify a top 10 ranking seven games in.

Clemson has dropped in consecutive weeks on blowouts. Meanwhile Bama struggles against a terrible Tennessee and they stay at 1.
As a Clemson fan I welcome the drop. Gives our team a mental edge.

The AP always gets it right; they know what they are doing.
But, this time they may not be entirely on the money. Yes, Alabama should be #1 but, lsu probably should be #3 or #4.
It'll all shake out though. If a team, any team, takes a quarter and a half to score 9 points on this year's Ms. State team, something is wrong with that team.
An lsu squad that managed only 3 points in the entire first quarter and was on a field goal splurge for basically the entire first half, well, something is wrong with that team.
Exposure is coming soon. They have hardly earned a #2 ranking.
