Assuming everything holds true and Bama goes into the SECCG at #6ish, it will be really interesting to see what they would do if we lose to a #2-3 TX

I think it will determine who gets a Bye week and who host a playoff game. At least, it should if that is the scenario.

I would be shocked if they gave a 3 loss team a home game over some of the other options

They probably realized we have 3 top 17 wins and 2 top 10 losses while ole miss entire resume is simply "we beat Georgia".

Oh yea, you're right. Alabama would be visiting Notre Dame with current projections. Honestly, Notre Dame doesn't deserve to host a game.

Now is the same as it's always been, which is that your resume matters. Your resume, if you aren't aware, consists of your entire season. that's like...a bunch of games. You don't get to simply pick and choose which ones to place more importance on. If on the field in one game is all that matters why are you ahead of LSU?
We have a 10 game body of work at the moment and UGA clearly objectively has a better resume than ole miss. It's not even debatable. Had we lost yesterday we should be ranked in the 20s somewhere, if ranked at all. Every game affects your resume.

Yea, not sure why they are so upset unless the games plays itself out and Georgia gets a home game while Ole Miss doesn't.

They have some ground to make up if they want to play with us.

You would potentially be looking at:
UGA, OM, TN all at 10-2
Bama (highest 2 loss before 12/7) 10-3 due to SECCG loss
Indiana, OSU/Oregon, PSU all with 1 loss
ND at 11-1
All vying for 4 home games. Shits gonna get wild

Your argument doesn’t make sense. LSU has 4 losses now. That’s why they’re not ranked ahead of us. That’s considering their whole resume. UGA and Ole Miss have 2 losses. They played on the same field. UGA lost by double digits.
I have no problem with UGA being ahead of us due to this resume argument, but to act like it’s not debatable is asinine.

I don't think the SECCG team will get punished for losing.
In a scenario where the #1-#4 seed play a #5-8 seed in the CCG, Ima go with they will just swap them or keep them as is in the rankings until I'm proven otherwise.
