How does it reopen the door for OSU really? OSU plays Penn St the same weekend. If Oregon loses a game they'll still be in playoffs anyways.
I think they will extend the CFB playoffs when that happens. 16 teams is inevitably going to happen.

There are no rules that you have to play ranked teams in order to achieve a high ranking. 2007 Kansas played ZERO ranked teams while going 11-0 before their final regular season game against #4 Missouri. Kansas was BCS #2 going into the game.

Miami doesn't play a single ranked team in the regular season. They somehow avoided Clemson, Pitt, AND SMU. The conferences are too big and the schedules are just massively out of whack these days.

That Notre Dame loss makes it hard to move us up. They don’t play anyone tough enough to move themselves up in the rankings and it would be hard to rank us ahead of them since they beat us.
Head-to-head isn't everything, nor should it be.

I know for a fact we could beat 3 of the 5 ahead of us, all 5 if we have a good day and they have a bad one.
None of that matters though, we're about where we should be..maybe a spot too high if I'm honest and just based on our performance the last two games.
The polls were meaningless the first half of the season, but we're quickly approaching the time where it does make a difference, but I'm glad we have some room to climb back up and the time to do it. I want aggy top 5 when we play them, don't stumble ags!
