I think Texas has been out in front of all of this and he ends up in Austin. I just don't see a dude like him going to BR, Gainesville, etc. Austin just seems to fit his vibe/ego (not knocking Austin, he just seems like a bright city lights kinda dude to me, and Austin has plenty of that).

Anything’s possible but that outcome isn’t logical or rational. If he was staying, he would have signed the extension already or otherwise indicated he was staying.

I'm not saying he's leaving or staying... but i think that if he leaves, it will be because of money and a better chance to win a natty.
If he leaves OM, then that tells you that he doesn't believe he can win a natty there.... no matter the NIL support.

If Kiffin leaves just hire his twin.
At least the PCs will be funny.

I watch this and hear him just tell the truth.
And he starts with, kids don't think about schools like they used to.
And, players aren't concerned with it like the fans.
Because players are loyal to themselves first these days.
No where does it indicate staying or leaving.

He's trying to make it sound like players aren't loyal to the school or fans either so he shouldn't feel loyal to them.

Is he?
I thought he was just stating what most of us know to be true.
People, players, aren't obsessed with going to this particular school or that particular school.....for the most part.
They are focused like a paid professional should be.
That was the message I thought he was conveying.
Are we still under the delusion that most players are not just paid mercenaries on one year contracts?
Lane has been saying this for at least 3 years over and over again.

It’s the body language

I do agree his body language was a little different.
I think he's annoyed dealing with it....finally.
The fun runs it's course eventually.

99% chance he announces LSU on Sunday. Leaving myself 1% because Lane can be an emotional decision maker but I'm pretty sure this one is pretty far down the road.

I read body language for a living. He gone
Posted on 11/24/25 at 7:39 pm to hawgfaninc
I think he might stay if they win the egg bowl. If they lose, he leaves.
Posted on 11/24/25 at 7:40 pm to ColoradoAg
The body language today was more about the press conference. He knew it was gonna be uncomfortable and was dreading it.
If he didn't want to coach the Egg Bowl, he was offered the opportunity not to and he turned it down.
