He would’ve been a perfect candidate for the Saban coaching rehabilitation clinic.

Agreed. Perhaps Kirby gives him a call.

but it's really not comparable imo.
I don't believe so either - it's just one of those oddities in sports with records/numbers that doesn't tell the actual story

I meant no ill will - it surprised me when I quickly looked at the w/l record for each -

All good. As I said above, I actually liked Herman as a coach. If he could have figured out a way to manage the clubhouse, he could have been really good imo.

Another difference.

Conference Championships - Sark 1 Herman 0
Playoff Bids - Sark 1 Herman 0

Small sample size either way.

Good old Turtle Tom, the downward spiral continues.

I will say this: give him 2-3 weeks to prep and he'll have his team ready for a bowl game. Of course it HAS to be a bowl game, a huge regular season matchup doesn't interest him...apparently.

Wins against UGA

Sark: 0
Tom: 1

With that said, I do not miss that guy.

He's not battling demons, guy is just an a-hole and lacks the emotionally maturity to manage a football program efficiently week to week

He did beat Kyler in the 2018 regular season.

He was all set to come to SC to replace spurrier. The they lost to my Alma mater and he got cold feet and bailed on the deal.

And then came the dark ages known as the Muschamp years....

True, but that one felt more like a fluke than actually prepping well and having the superior team.

Herman’s issue at Texas was not the blm movement.

I would hire him to see if he could get our offense better.
Since our last OC we have struggled to get going
