I was pulling for msu, but that was one of the worst PI calls I've seen in a long time.

Except there is really not much disagreement about the Coates call. The only people who thought it was a good call are a handful of Moo State fans and people who people who have some irrational hatred of Auburn. I am guessing you probably fall into the last category

I don't know of anyone that thought the kickoff return at the end of the game was the official's fault.

I guess you missed the multiple threads started by guys like antibarner and coach crisp about all the missed holding calls and illegal men downfield. Not to mention the tards who claimed Davis' foot was out.

Wow Ugah fan still butthurt about nick fairly

Truth comes out

Just pointing out that everyone knew Nick Fairley played dirty for that season, including opposing coaches. But Auburn fans denied it all year long. Just as you're denying that Sammie Coates pushed off. I've seen Georgia fans do the same thing re officiating, and I've seen Auburn fans claim that Alabama never gets an adverse call against them.

It's standard behavior by football fans, and accounts for all these protests by auburn fans today. You say you're not making excuses, except you got screwed on that one critical call that could have turned the game around. Sorry, but that play happened because of Coates pushing off, so it never happened. You lost for other reasons.

I said I didn't think it cost Auburn the game, dumbass. They just straight got beat.

Nor did I, so stop being a whiny pussy. Had this happened to OM you wouldn't think it was a bad call. He did what he had to do to catch the ball. That happened to be pushing off. The flag came out at the spot before the catch.

Congrats on Ole Miss being #1 in the polls this week.

Everyone here understands Auburn lost and Auburn lost for other reasons

Nick fairly has nothing to do with this except that you still have nightmares of him

Most of the folks saying the PI was legit are just doing it to try and rile up au fans. Everyone knows it was bogus

Nick Fairly! Boo!

Eta did that scare you

SEC officiating is crap, I think we all agree on that. The difference in what I posted and what goes on here is I did not blame the IB loss on the calls.

The illegal play that tied up the IB was smart thinking on Malzahn's part. He has the officials moving faster than they are used to and of course they miss some calls. I recall saying if I were Malzahn I would run the play til they called it.

Just doing his job.

My man
You think SEC officiating is bad, try dealing with Big 12.

Being a Ref is a thankless job; we need 1 more on the field, like the ACC is trying.

We couldn't have a game without them.

I made a mental note that things may have changed in the SEC.
Those calls, in the past, always went in favor of the Alabama team.
Some of these calls were not good calls. When they went in favor of Moo St. It really got my attention.

Coates pushed off, had to to get space.Pushed off right in front of the official. The second one was kind of ticky tack but it looked worse at game speed than it did in slow motion.

Nick Fairley is about the same topic; a fan base denying the obvious because it suits their inclination. Fairley was an obvious example, and I knew it would make you happy to disagree one more time on that subject.

If you'd like a different example, here's another one. A couple of years ago, Alec Ogletree picked up a small GT running back and slammed him headfirst into the turf. You can find it on youtube pretty easily I'm sure. Georgia fans said it was a great play. Tech fans said it should have been unnecessary roughness. I agreed with the Tech fans, should have been flagged. Not because I hate Georgia, or love Tech, but because that should have been called.

Go to the boards of any team that lost this season (or even those that won) and you'll find griping about officiating. Some are valid gripes, most are either sour grapes or calls that could have gone either way. Honestly, I can't see any way to call this one a bad call.

Legit PI. Coates was well covered, pushed off to get separation. Arrakis will tell you.

as an unbiased viewer, i'll say that the 1st and 3rd calls were legit. the second was not.
