I understand it's a business, but at the same time do you think LSU will ever do anything in return for everything that he gave? My personal opinion won't the university look like jackasses if the put up a statue? I hope Les finds somewhere better that will appreciate him.

Not really, he's a multimillionaire. LSU did compensate him quite well.

Nope. He's about to get paid millions to do nothing... that means all the time and money he needs to eat a lot of grass

i thinnkk coaches should be allowed to finish at least the regular season before firing them.

i'm not sure why LSU people thought LSU was a lock to win at Auburn if clemson struggled to score down there.

Les was a very good coach but an even better guy. He was good for the conference and I'm gonna miss that crazy guy on SEC sidelines.

I only feel a little bad for him. He's got too much money to really deserve any significant sympathy, but he went from being a well-liked guy to treated like the devil himself by the people in his community for no good reaosn. That's kind of sad.

I do. Retarded lsu fans aside, he seemed like a genuinely good person who brought unprecedented success to a program.

We all have our flaws, and I believe that one of his was hubris. That unquestionably was his downfall, and I hope he carries this lesson with him moving forward in life.

I do, they did treat him poorly when trying to find a replacement after last season. He didn't leave on his own, and now is fired 1/3 of the way thru the season.
It has all been handled poorly by LSU.

I do also hope Les finds a landing spot where he feels appreciated. I'm guessing he didn't feel that way the last couple of seasons in BR.

He's a multimillionaire though, so my sorrow only goes so far.

Yes, in the same way I feel bad for any other incompetent that gets fired. Probably even a little more because he's a good guy.

Isn't he making like 12 million over the next 3 years, why in the hell would I feel sorry for him?

A bit yes. I think it was time for him to go, but the way it was done was sorta rough. In some ways, not entirely unlike Mack Brown getting shoved out the door. I think that is the danger for longtime coaches though who a presiding over a decline; it always seems a bit messy.

And the dude just got paid...BIG..l'm 60 years old and I wish someone would hurt my feelings like this..

But, no,i don't feel sorry for Les at all..

I think you should feel bad because if you think about Les Miles the person, I think he would be more happy about being with his guys at LSU over 12 million dollars to be treated like shite.

We all know he's in Les world and that's far from earth but watching the last year it's like everyone but him knew it was going to happen. The dude put it aside and still worked his arse off.

Most of us would be pretty bummed about getting fired. It's a message that you suck.

However, Les might be a little bummed, but he also won the lottery. He will be fine.
