Any Penn State fans on here?

I'm curious why they call it Penn State since Pennsylvania is a Commonwealth, like KY, VA, and MA. Pennsylvania Commonwealth would make more sense. Like VCU.

I would normally agree with this type of pessimistic thinking, but in this case UCF did beat Penn State in State College, back in 2013.
