Any other old folks here remember the weather for the 1983 Iron Bowl?

Good lord. Had flooded the night before and remember hearing Simpson Pepper announce the warning over the PA in the 3rd qtr that there was a tornado warning for Birmingham and rain so hard you couldn’t see. I sat in Legion Field and watched 2 separate rotating clouds basically go right over Legion. Sadly, one of those touched down further east outside Oxford and killed 2 people.

I’m sure the upper deck was swaying back and forth.

Not a Bama or Auburn fan so I don’t remember that one. But I do remember 1979 Alabama game in Tiger Stadium!!! Even though it never rains in Tiger Stadium, the rain that nite was going sideways & we lost 3 - 0. Ouch! I’ll never forget!

From the sound of it, I bet the Alabama Risk Management association remembers it VERY well

That was ridiculous.

The 2000 ALABAMA-auburn game was the worst conditions for a game I've ever been in......It snowed, sleeted, and rained the entire at 32 degree windy weather. It was more like an endurance test for Survivor.
