Cecil Hurt is reliable too and he basically said Basilio and Hubbs are FOS. Cecil knows about practically everything going on in the Alabama AD so he`ll be one of the first to know on either side. Grant COULD end up at UT. It just doesn`t make any logical sense. It would more or less be a lateral move from a steadily improving program with equal potential to a good program with NCAA uncertainty. Grant could easily take Bama to where Pearl took UT (heck, Gottfried did as much early on as Pearl did) and hold out for a better job than UT. Literally makes no sense at all but maybe UT is Grant`s dream job. Who knows

Basilio is a UT radio blablablah. Anthony Grant hasn't shown any interest in UT. He is on his way to NYC. That is what he is interested in.

In other words, you are suggesting that Tennessee and Arkansas are equal jobs? You realize that`s what you`re insinuating with your absurd comparisons don`t you? Alabama, Tennessee, and Missouri are very similar programs in stature. Do a little research for once. You`re selling the Arkansas job way short by suggesting that a coach jumping from Alabama to Tennessee is the same as jumping from Missouri to Arkansas.

So, I just read Tenner hired the exact same search firm that hired Pelphrey.
Get ready for an underwhelming, WTF? hire.

What is the AD getting paid for if he can't find a head coach himself?

didn't take it that far...i know exactly how inferior those programs are.
I was stating they sound like the whiny mizzou fans that said this would never happen and all the media was just blowin smoke.....never insinuated anything about the programs themselves.

They're pretty even if you just go by the numbers.
Tennessee: One Elite Eight appearance, Six Sweet 16s, Made the NCAA tournament 19 times, 4 conference tournament championships, 9 conference regular season championships
Alabama: One Elite Eight appearance, Eight Sweet 16s, Made the NCAA tournament 19 times, 6 conference tournament championships, 7 conference regular season championships
When you factor the likelihood of upcoming probation for Tennessee, Alabama has to be the better job at the moment.

You should have clarified what you meant. The situations with Mike Anderson and Arkansas are vastly different than Grant and Tennessee. Arkansas is a better job and Anderson has a strong positive past history with the school whereas Grant has no history with UT. Ut is likely facing some level of NCAA sanctions while Arkansas isn`t.

I assumed people would get it, since mizzou fans have been telling us since we fired pel that we wouldn't get their coach.

Whatever happened to that coach from the Celtics? Coaching searches go round and round with a bunch of names. Glad the Grant name will be gotten out of the way early.
Onto someone like Matt Doherty.

This is the most retarded thread I've ever read on Td. I will post a picture of my nutsack if AG goes to UT. Anyone who has contributed to this thread is a moron.
