early rumors for both him and BJ Coleman were UTC. UTC just got into a bit of trouble with the NCAA so that might be in jeopardy, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them go to the same school.
Interesting, as Alabama plays UT-C in November. Since its a step down to FCS, we'll get to see them on the field.

I'm not sure if they'll end up there, but that was the talk when Coleman said he was leaving, b/c most knew that Paige was on the outs too.

I know coleman was disgruntled. But is the latest departures just making room for the new signees?

One thing I don't get is that supposedly all these guys are leaving because of stricter discipline, and yet, UT is going after players like Moody and Ambles. I guess like every other school, it is only the mediocre players that can't get away with being a bad egg.

No, we have plenty of room.

No, we have plenty of room.

It's possible Paige isn't a big fan of Lane Kiffin

Lack of playing time, family issues.
I don't know the details, but he's had some pretty serious personal issues.

"I've had some bad luck since I've been here, off the field more than on it," Paige said. "Playing time is part of it, but I really feel like I just need a change of scenery for my life and start over."
"I don't have anything bad to say about coach Kiffin or me leaving, things just didn't work out for a lot of different reasons."

The same exact shite happened at Ole Miss.
I'm absolutely sure that the Lane Kiffen experiment is going to be a failure.

Enjoy Orgeron's players while you have them.

More room for players like Janzen, Bryce Brown and Nuke

His role did not expand.. he actually fell on the depth chart. Paige was never going to see the field at UT, the kid needed a fresh start.
He has issues off the field, biggest being his ex-gf called him before killing herself and he has been dealing with that.
quote:
An 18-year-old high school All-American who didn't play during the Vols' SEC Eastern Division championship season, Paige learned his high school sweetheart, Angie Clark, 18, had drowned in the cold, murky waters of the Ouachita River on Dec. 30, 2007, near their hometown. Paige, who had dated Clark for about "two-and-a-half years" prior to their breakup late last year, was on the phone with Clark when she decided to take her life. She drove her Chevrolet Cavalier into the Ouachita -- Indian for "sparkling silver water" -- that runs from the Arkansas-Oklahoma border south near Alexandria, La.

Tenn fans, while your opening up scholarships for all the 5*s kiff is gonna bring in, have y'all thought about the tremendous hit this will be to your APR avg?? While spots are opening up the APR may be removing scholarships soon. Losing this many players is gonna leave you little or no wiggle room over the next three years. 11 have left already, Berry goes pro, you lose a couple to grades & a couple to disciplinary reasons & all of a sudden you've lost 15-16 off a 85 player squad, huge APR hit.....just sayin'

I would, if they had made it to campus.

And God knows, if Ole MIss can't get them on campus, not many can.
