'm surprised Dre Kirkpatrick's 5th year option was picked up after he was arguably one of the absolute worst cornerbacks in the NFL, per ProFootballFocus. He was terrible in 2015.

And you are going with them....some NFL scout you are.

Even Bama fans believe there's truth to the busts or they wouldn't feel the need to defend it so adamantly.

I'll take the Bengals organization's opinion on Dre over some Internet jerkoffs.

If he played like one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL they wouldn't have picked up his 5th year option. They clearly don't think that.

I remember Aaron Rodgers threw 5 td's 0 ints and threw 333 yards and got a -0.8 rating. It was against the Cardinals. Isn't any grade under a 0 a negative impact? Yeah right.

PFF can be a good tool but it is certainly not the end all be all...

bingo, Bengals have one of the best defenses in the NFL year in, year out, if he sucked they would get rid of him.

Bama envy here makes me smile.

Yeah because they've shown they know what it takes to be good.

The cap is the biggest reason. CBs are at a premium, it is easier and cheaper to take the 5th year option instead of dipping in FA. OL is in a similar position.

Top half of the league and 6 playoff appearances over the last 10 years. Why would you make such a dumb statement just to somehow try and get some roundabout dig in at a guy who played for Alabama? Sad, man.

If the bengals were worried about the cap they would have declined the 5th yr option and tried to resign him at a cheaper price or signed someone else. The Cowboys cut Mo Clairborne then resigned him for 8 million less than his 5th yr option. Dre would have had suitors and someone else would have paid him. There were only 14 CBs all of last year that made more than 9 million dollars. There were many avenues the Bengals couldve persued, but they chose to pay Dre.

Well Saban didn't teach him how to backpedal, so...

Maybe they do not want him after the 5th year.

Chance Warmack and Dee Milliner both had 5th year options declined.

Bama busts.
