Who would have guessed you can't judge a player after just 1 or 2 years in the nfl.

I could have sworn I saw him on the field for a little. I don't think he played most of the game though.

Thank god the Iron Bowl isn't at 11 every year....Way too early for such a big game.
Roll tide! We gonna whoop that arse.

I agree. And Julio's sophomore slump was injury related...Can't quite remember if Amari was injured his sophomore year or not.
But good lord imagine Julio in a Kiffin offense.

After watching the A-game I thought Hurts was the most impressive. I'm not sure if he went against the starting D, but he looked good for a incoming freshmen. He will definitely be a multi year starter.
Also it's hard to judge a QB who's going against a loaded defense.
Yeah I don't think A-day game is too important. We have had some awful A-day games from qb's in the past and they go on to play well when it matters.
But ever since he has come to Tuscaloosa you keep hearing positive things about him. People seem really impressed with him mentally and physically. We knew he had the physical tools but if he already has the right mind for it as a freshman....that's scary. Someone correct me if i'm wrong but his dad is a football coach so maybe that helps.
Regardless I just have a hard time seeing him have any meaningful snaps this year barring injury. I think he is the future though. I'm excited for him.
As someone mentioned earlier definitely going to end up having some transfers later on.

The funniest part of all of this is all the talk we hear is how LSU will fail because how bad Harris is. So basically we will flop because of the QB spot yet Alabama gets a pass and you rarely here one person say that they might be in a worse spot at QB then we are, yet God forbid it's Alabama.
Because we have proven we can win with a first year starter qb. We did in 09. We did in 11. We did in 15. We have way better coaching than LSU. Lane Kiffin is a hell of an OC. LSU's passing game is mediocre and underachieving. Why would you expect to change that this year?
We have proven we can win regardless. LSU hasn't. That's why preseason we get the pass. We will all see though.

Yes it's obvious he's pretty fricking stupid. You jumping on his train too?
6 straight #1 ranked classes. Sure.
Recruiting championships don't exist.
What is so hard to understand about that?
Say what it is instead of what Bama fan wants it to be and I'm not even in this stupid thread.
You are missing my point. I acknowledged there is no recruiting championship. That was just his way of saying we have had the #1 class for however many years.
My point is that it's not a big deal lol.

You stated 6 straight Recruiting National Championships. Not I. You said that. I am just letting you know there is no such fricking thing. post 10 million links. There is no Recruiting National Champion.
Holy frick are you dumb.
I mean there is no trophy or anything but it is pretty obvious what he means. Jimmies=Rustled.

All these people comparing defenses kind of reminds me the Fournette vs Henry arguments last year. LSU fans were convinced that Fournette was better so they were gonna win. They won't even be on the field at the same time so it really doesn't matter.
Compare LSU D vs Alabama O and vice versa.
Until LSU can prove they can beat us with the passing game I've got Bama winning. I don't care how good Fournette is. I'm not sold on LSU's passing game. They had the talent last year and couldn't put it together. All I heard last year was how amazing your ol is. How amazing Fournette is. How efficient Harris was. Good lord LU fans loved talking about how efficient he was. Somehow it just never materializes against Bama. It's gotta be coaching.
Is Cam Cameron still the LSU OC? IF he is.....yeah I just don't see it changing this year. Hated him on the Ravens. They canned his arse in the middle of the season and ended up winning the super bowl with Joe Flacco playing insanely well basically right when he left. I don't think hes a good coach.
And lol at the LSU fan trying to compare LSU and Bamas secondary depth. Y'all have some damn good talent but you clearly don't know much about Alabama's secondary depth. We have insane talent their and they are proven.
If I were an LSU fan I wouldnt compare defenses I would make the argument that with some of our unknowns on offense and your talent and depth on D that you can make enough stops to win.

I'm a big fan of McElwain. I think he will do well at Florida. Think he will do great without a potato at qb.

I'm surprised Dre Kirkpatrick's 5th year option was picked up after he was arguably one of the absolute worst cornerbacks in the NFL, per ProFootballFocus. He was terrible in 2015
If he played like one of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL they wouldn't have picked up his 5th year option. They clearly don't think that.
I remember Aaron Rodgers threw 5 td's 0 ints and threw 333 yards and got a -0.8 rating. It was against the Cardinals. Isn't any grade under a 0 a negative impact? Yeah right.
PFF can be a good tool but it is certainly not the end all be all...

Bama in 2010 had Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy. Incredibly talented group.
Definitely loved watching that Arkansas group you mentioned as well.
I didn't like this combo for obvious reasons but that Cadillac Ronnie Brown rb group was extremely good too.
