Happy for him, I for one like our coaches getting to the NFL, Bielema knows his coaches and hirings.

Exactly, he has made great hires since he has been here. I don't expect that to change with this one.

Did you guys sign any RBs? Would be pretty shitty if they were pumped about playing for this guy only for him to leave two days after signing their LOI

he probably knew
but a kid should be signing for the school not an assistant coach. assistant coaches come and go regularly. what he probably cares about more is that we keep spitting out 1,000 yard rushers regardless of who the coach is

The reaction on here was a bit different when there were rumors about another school's coach leaving on NSD.

Don't worry. He's working for Pagano so he'll be back in college ball this time next year.

You make a fair point but I do think a coordinator leaving is a bit different than a position coach. Especially when considering one was going to get fired and the other was getting a promotion.

The circumstances of his supposed leaving were never revealed. It could have been health-related for all we know.

Last time one of your assistants was reported to leave for the NFL I was told it was because Bert processed him, and that he wasn't cutting it in th SEC.
Are your assistants leaving for the NFL because they are good or because they aren't good enough to coach at Arkansas? Asking for a friend who might get hired by Bert.

Ya, you are right. It was pretty hilarious at the end because it appears that whole thread was pointless after LSU said they had no plans of getting rid of him. People went crazy over a rumor, including me.

one assistant is perceived as really good by the fans and the other assistant is perceived as meh by fans.
the NFL's opinion matters more than the fans.
