Texas Brisket is far superior to nasty mustard sauce slathered pulled pork. Aggies wont need any sauce when they go in dry for the 6th consecutive year. Gamecocks got no game. UGA win was a fluke. Lost to App State.

Annual AggieDub wrongly assumes that South Carolina is solely a mustard based BBQ state. That's the Midlands. Where I'm from it's pepper vinegar only.

I love mustard on my hotdog. It has no place in bbq though.

Carolinians insist they have great BBQ. Texas owns the rest of the world in the craft.

A properly done brisket is borderline nirvana. But there are only like 5 people in the world that can do that.

Properly done pulled pork with the peppered vinegar sauce is a close second to brisket and there are enough people in the Carolinas that actually know how to cook it that there is a decent chance it will be enjoyable if you order it.

Baby back ribs are a close third.

So 2/3 are from the Carolinas.

I’m sure you can find decent pulled pork (minus the mustard) in South Carolina. Just saying, enjoy the difference in culture. You could probably even find decent Brisket in South Carolina, but why?

Brisket is easier than you think.
1. Low and slow, I use pecan wood for delicious smokey flavor
2. Wrap at 165
3. Pull at 195
4. Sit in cooler wrapped in foil for 1 hour
5. Cut and enjoy with friends and family.

Most of the state of Ohio visits the Carolina coast in the summer. It’s a nice place. Columbia is just another medium sized city.

I love when they say that brisket is inferior to pulled pork. Actually makes me feel sorry for them, they’ve never tasted good bbq.

No. Texas is third at best. Kansas City and Memphis are much better at BBQ.

Wrong.

Half of Ohio has moved there...

Pulled pork is sweet, succulent, moist and versatile.
