I switched last week from DTV to Dish. I see no difference other than format and dish is just fine. Actually saved some money and guess what?, I won't be agonizing two months from now what DTV will do. Screw'em
I'm already planning a party and how many brisket's I'll need for the A&M /SC game august 30th.
Brilliant move by u-verse and Dish.

better get with the program, DirecTV, TWC Charter and Cox
I'm not worried about it. I'm with Cox, they picked up the damn Longhorn Network so I'm sure they'll pick up the SEC Network.

this is actually moderately big news on the network front.
If A&M's Sr Associate AD is posting this so openly on twitter is means the negotiations with Direct TV for SECN year 1 are not going well at all.

As of today, I cancelled @DIRECTV and signed up with @dish solely for @SECNetwork and @AggieFootball

I'm going to switch to Dish as well if DTV balks on the SECN.
I've always liked DTV's ease with navigating through channels and being able to see a summary of shows. Does Dish have these features?
I've been with DTV for 18 years and switching will be traumatic but I can't do without the SECN.

That reminds me, I need to call DirecTV to tell them stop mailing me shite. Let them know, I won't even think of coming back till they the SECn. I switched because they didn't carry CST.

I actually like dish better. I could care less about NFL football. I'm a Texan fan. See.

I have the local cable company (with no apparent plans for SECN) for internet and TV and get a nice bundle deal. Internet speed is much better than anything else available, and (ducks) that's more important to me than SECN. When we did have a phone line (U-Verse) it was out just about as often as not. There are a lot of good things about living in a small town. This is not one of those things.

Go with Dish, get the Hopper with Sling & you'll wonder why you waited to switch. The Dish hardware is fantastic & you can watch anything, anywhere with Dish Anywhere. As for convenience, you can customize the receivers to your heart's content.

They will all carry it, just relax.

Here is how this dance works:
1. Providers push back on ESPN because rates demanded are extortionate.
2. Subscribers pitch a fit and threaten providers with cancellation.
3. Providers cave.
4. Providers jack up service rates to subscribers to cover extortionate rates.
We are the ones getting nailed in all of this.
