You just cant sit back and let Fournette run for 200, I never understand that. DCs seem content letting teams beat them running as long as they dont give up big passing plays.

Handing the ball off is too easy a way to let someone beat you. If it takes 9-10 man boxes and run blitzing every 1st and 2nd down you do it.

Your comment alone shows me how fricking stupid your comprehension skills are you dumb frick. Not once did I reference to Ole Miss beating Alabama you dumb frick. I'm sure your mom raised you to not be that fricking stupid you dip arse. I mean you are making LSU fans all around look stupider than they actually are. You have got to be the most incoherent frick I've seen yet. Do us all a favor and get off this wedsite.

Seriously, you just beat the equivalent of Vanderbilt in the West. WTF is this premature ejaculatjon from LSU fans? You beat a fricking team that the Jacksonville State Gamecocks took to 2 overtimes.

And what have you accomplished?

Almost all of LSU's runs are counters to the weak side or every one blocks like a strong side run and Harris pitches weak side.

Don't fall for the bullshite and they can be stopped. Auburn went with the flow every run and 9 out of 10 times ran themselves out of the play.

Look, jerk, I asked HOW. If you know, say it.

The above average defenses wont do much of nothing different, except maybe stack the box. LSU scored 10 points against Ole Miss last year. They scored 21 on state college last weekend. Their offense simply isn't capable of lighting a scoreboard up against the better defenses. and teams with the better offenses will have a good opportunity to outscore LSU for the victory....I am of a mind that LSU wastes a lot of elite talent with the type offense they run, and the blue chip high school offensive players will notice this eventually as well.

Plus, I asked about the running game, not the passing game. You are so quick to be critical of LSU that you can't even understand my question.

You are so prickly about responses to your question that you can't even understand your own OP, which included this observation by you about your passing game:

quote:

Harris will begin throwing more consistently downfield. He is capable. He showed that in spurts last year. Play action over the top to the talented WR corps.

Maybe you really intended to ask a real question looking for real answers, but your OP gave off a feel of "We are so great we can't be stopped, don't you agree?" Then you got butthurt with anyone who didn't agree, confirming my suspicion that you really just wanted everyone to agree with the breathless excitement you have for your team.

Look, you totally abused a bad Auburn defense playing without its best defensive lineman. You rode a heavy dose of Fournette to 21 points against MSU (that's five whole points more than was scored by the mighty USM Golden Eagles). Fournette behind your OL is legit as frick and will score points, but don't get so sensitive if someone questions whether it will be enough points for you to win every game.

Rankings in September are worthless. You are 1-0 in the west. Good for you, but anything can happen in the SEC Thinking you are going to roll through the SEC because Bama gifted you a game is crazy talk.

You beat them by scoring. LSU is one dimensional. If you struggle scoring, you won't beat them. The key is to score enough to force them to have to throw. Harris is better, but his accuracy is still not where it needs to be. You won't stop Fournette, but if you are up 14 points, it makes running every play much more difficult. Their defense is improved so it won't be easy to put up points, but that is the way to neutralize the run.

That could be true but it might not as well. We haven't had to throw the ball yet.

Which further proves my point. No one to this point has forced LSU to pass. No team wants to be one dimensional. LSU isn't passing because running the ball is obviously its stronger option. That Bama game should tell us much more about Harris ability to pass.

What the frick have y'all done? OM beat 2 nobodies and Bama, that took 5 turnovers, a lucky as frick miracle, & some less than desirable officiating. OM is getting as bad as the fricking Aggies. November the 21st can't get soon enough. So we can shut you over privileged cocksuckers up. Y'all ain't won shite since the Vietnam era.

Unless you're playing GT you can't put 10 in the box.

To stop LSU you'll need an offense that can ground and pound to keep LSU's off the field or you'll need a high scoring offense to get up big early and make LSU throw.

How do you define "wasting talent"?
How many SEC teams have won more games, conference titles and NC's with at least 8 wins this century?
After all, winning is the main objective. No?

and the blue chip high school offensive players will notice this eventually as well.

Then they turn on the NFL Sunday and see LSU WR's and RB's everywhere.

If these young men want to win and make money, who does it better?

MSU did a pretty good job of it especially in the 2nd half

Didn't Moo State pretty much stop LSU from running in the 2nd half? I don't think it is easy, but I don't think it is impossible either. Having a decent defense and playing them away from Baton Rouge would probably help
