Texas has already replaced Tennessee as my most hated conference foe and they haven't signed the contract yet. I hope the Shorthorns lose every game they play.

but that didn't improve their programs' standing within the conference or their bargaining power.

Right and this is a 1000% different situation because Texas was still one of just two teams bringing in most of the eyeballs. That will not be even close to the case in the SEC.

All this SEC new blood (Aggie, Arky, Mizzou) that thinks Actual SEC schools (Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Tennessee) are going to take it in the arse from Texas is hilarious.

I thought all this shite was a joke but the majority of ppl in here sound like Aggies with this bullshite and seem to actually believe this crap. fricking weird as hell

A stand alone conference of just the top 15-20 “brands” makes no sense.

It’s all about tv money, just like these latest move. A conference with the above teams, throw in a Michigan, Ohio State, maybe Clemson or FSU could name their price to ESPN or whomever.

Absolute great post man, but anyone’s fear of Texas pulling their old pranks are NILL. This conference is structurally set up to protect the original Big 6. I don’t give a shite how many Lawyers or money they have. Do yourself a favor and go thru Laws and Bi-Laws in place by SEC. They bullied schools who were weak and feeble to respond whether due to resources or there standing in conference at that time. Good luck rough shodding Auburn, Bama, Georgia, Florida, LSU and Tenn. when All have total protection both through already in the books both Rules and passed Legislation Laws, not happening -Ever. Did you know an unanimous 6-0 vote by Big 6 can revoke newer schools if they can show cause. Careful Newbies.

Right but they still have more than 10 Tv windows a weekend they want to fill.

Now what you could see is the Big Ten and SEC become 24-32 teams big. But y’all aren’t getting kicked out.

But, mark my words, this is what will happen: Texas will play coy and not make waves UNTIL Saban retires. After Saban retires, everything will change. Texas will either take over the SEC, or make all the other schools miserable while trying to claw their way to the top. I absolutely dread it. Mark my words. You were warned. Too bad Sankey doesn't see this.

Exactly what I have said, and I haven’t had the experience of Texas in our league before.

Texas proves who they are every single year! The way they treated LSU, our team, our band and our fans is proof of the absolute and complete assholes they truly are.

Texas can’t do shite while Satan is around, he is way too powerful, but they are playing the long game they know retirement is soon enough for Satan and then they will pounce with the help of ESPN.

Sankey is a yankee, this has nothing to do with tradition for him, and everything to do with cold hard cash.

To be fair, we aren’t always the most hospitable. I kind of liked it tbh, added more juice to the game.

They aren’t going to be able to only give away fans 100 tickets in the SEC

Why are you arkansas fans like this?

This board has always wondered why Arkansas bitches about refs. It’s because Texas. We had to play Texas and their refs in the SWC. I welcome them to the SEC for pure entertainment. Now they get a taste of Alabama and “what’s best for the conference” bullshite. Looking forward to Sept 11.

At least wait until we kick your asses on the field in 2022 to pass off the tiara to us.

edit - changed crown to tiara since that fits your program better

Don't be mad at SWC-tier hijinks. That's classic college football.

Texas always demands, and has thus far received, special treatment from every conference of which they have been a member. That doesn't set well with me. Although it's somewhat comforting that despite their privilege, they have little to show for it other than some SWC and Big 12 titles they won with all those extra perks.

Wouldn’t be difficult at all coming up with 20 big boys.

1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Georgia
4. Florida
5. Auburn
6. FSU
7. Texass
8. Oklahoma
9. Notre Dame
10. Michigan
11. Ohio State
12. Clemson
13. USC
14. Oregon
15. Tennessee
16. Penn State
17. Texas A&M
18. Nebraska
19. Arkansas
20. Wisconsin

And you still have UCLA, Stanford, Purdue, Baylor, Missouri, Ole Miss, Michigan State, West Virginia , North Carolina, South Carolina, TCU, etc.

All the tv money.
