I would like to see him run the ball less.

Notre Dame started a first time QB, not the same team from the playoffs.

This is a dumb statement. NO...we are going to beat you because KS consistently recruits top recruiting classes every single season and he is a proven developer of talent. Last year, in what by our standards was considered a 'down' year with 3 losses, we STILL won the SEC.
If you don't understand what I'm saying, go back and watch the Marshall game again. While our starting D was in the game they didn't cross the 50 yard line one single time. It wasn't until our cheerleaders suited up in garbage they were able to move the ball at all. Do you honestly think we couldn't have scored 80 points in that game? We have talent and lots of it. THAT is why we will continue to own you.

Stockton did exactly what he was asked to do on Saturday. He's tough and athletic, and his teammates love him. No one is expecting him to throw for 400 yards. As long as he plays largely mistake-free ball, and the defense plays up to its potential, Georgia will be a playoff team.

yes. next question.

Pretty content with UGA's opener. No picks or fumbles. Defense held opponent to less than 200 yards. Good mix of run and pass. QB ran and passed efficiently.
As for UGA's QB being average... UGA pretty much always has "average" QB's.
Heck, Carson Beck was considered average at UGA too. For a fun comparison... let's look at Beck's passing vs ND at Miami vs Stockton against UGA last season in the playoff.
Beck - 20-31 for 205 yards (64%). 6.6 yards per attempt. 2 TD, 0 INT.
Stockton - 20-32 for 234 yards (63%). 7.3 yards per attempt. 1 TD, 0 INT.
And last year's ND defense was probably better than this year's.
While Stockton isn't an elite QB... neither was Beck, nor Bennett, nor Daniels, nor Fromm. UGA tends to have good but not elite QB's surrounded by elite talent.

Be funny if Syracuse lost to UCONN this weekend, funnier if they struggle with Colgate.... Fran is a great coach but they lost a lot and are not stock piling talent....

As long as Tenner doesn’t come out like they did in “Neyland North” back in December, they got a puncher’s chance

Nobody can deny that. But Brock Bowers and Ladd the Honkey don’t grow on trees. And defense can be solid but you’ll never see a defense like 2021 again in your lifetime

One guy beat Notre Dame. The other beat Marshall.
What's really crazy is comparing their stats against Notre Dame:
20/31 205yds, 2 TD, 141.4 rating
20/32 234yds, 1 TD, 134.2 rating
Who's who?

Stetson was elite. Go back and watch the highlights. Our dumbass fanbase cost him a Heisman to a kid who could not beat Tulane with USCs roster.

Ok and they both played the exact same Texas team last year and Gunner outperformed Carson with the exact same players against the exact same team.

You're welcome. This is NOT the usual dominant Kirby Smart team at least not on offense. Nothing close to it. Running game looks meh too. But the QB play looks flat out bad.
This is what UT fans were saying last year as well.
Not dominant, bad running game, mediocre QB.
All could be true, but UGA still beat that arse.

Tennessee shouldn't have any trouble beating Georgia then, should they?

Our team has a huge chip on its shoulder this year. They believe in each other and no one else:

But also a huge chip on their shoulder the last 26 years.
Didn't seem to help much.

Stockton had a solid performance. The near INT at the half you isolated was OBVIOUS and something that will cost him and the Dawgs with SEC defenses.
The only true concern I had from the game was the O Line didn't impose their will on Marshall like I would have like to have seen. One would guess that Marshall doesn't have SEC cailiber D Linemen and certainly not depth at the position yet they got some pressure on Stockton and did a good job containing the running game...that is concerning for me and me alone, I am sure I am being overly critical but I would have liked to have seen at least a sustained drive where they were hitting it for 4 plus yards between the tackles and scoring a TD sometime in 60 minutes of scrimmaging against a far less talented roster. I don't remember it happening but I may have been overly critical....

Bet money on it then. Besides Branch, they look very mediocre and one dimensional. Gunner is going to struggle hard in Neyland against our DBs.
Branch was the third best WR for USC last year
Noah Thomas to me was a bigger addition for them than Branch, but won't be as flashy.
