Congrats. That, and $5, will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

What seems worse is attending in person. That looks miserable.

Did you have a dog in the fight? Let me guess, you also hate the Playoffs.

99% of the time I couldn’t care less, but I checked in this year to see if the Sanders kid was going to be taken in the first round. I like to watch train wrecks.

And it was nice to see Ole Miss get two in the first round.

Round 1 coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit was seen by an average audience of 12.1 million viewers.

But no, there are people who don't care about a lot of things.

I'm stealing this insult from you. When you see me use it on here later this year, don't bother calling me out. I'm acknowledging it is your joke here and now.

I used to watch to see:

1. Where LSU guys went.
2. Who the Cowboys got.

Nowadays I do not watch NFL and and only look the day after on where the LSU guys went.

I still watch the draft, but I'm also an NFL (Saints) fan going back to childhood. I'm watching to see who my team picks, not where my college team's players go so much.

And for the record, I hate the format switch. The draft needs to be a single day, not something drug out for tv viewing. Part of the fun in the past used to be watching which front offices could not handle the pace and pressure of making selections on the clock. You'd see teams like the Browns and Raiders just implode, I seem to remember someone (Raiders?) just not get a pick in time due to things.
All of that is gone now. Everyone has a day to regroup for the second round, etc.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of

The single day draft with the clock was great. Good teams had good front offices, bad teams didn't. That's because everyone could make up a solid list of 1st rd plyers, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rds were where you built depth and made teams better.
Some teams could want "that linebacker", but pivot and pick up a starting safety or TE when they got jumped. Others would panic and reach, and some just froze up like the Vikings did.

All of that is gone now, with the new format. There might be bad picks in the second round, but not because they had to think fast. They have a full day to reset their boards.

It means about as much as college signing day. Which means about a minus 3 on a scale of 1-10. The NFL is not about football anymore. It is just whatever they can market to the low information masses and make more money.
I care nothing about it.,
But the NFL lost me in 1984 when they allowed the Colts to abandon Baltimore and keep the Colts name. One of the biggest travesties in all of sports.
The Ravens? Ugggghhhh…give me a break..

I watched for the first time last night because my 12 year old grandson wanted me to watch it with him, he’s a huge Chiefs fan, I’m a cowboys fan. He wanted to see who his team got. It was fairly entertaining because of him.

The sanders drama stole the show though, I really enjoyed that part…..

We’ll be watching baseball tonight…
