Yeah I remember that. Wasn't that the game that allowed Bama to get to the NCG? We lost by a FG in overtime. If that hadn't happened, say goodbye to last years championship.

Every year the talking heads pimp teams in August and make them sound unbeatable.

Heard a lot of talk about UGA maybe winning the BCS

Read that Stanford could challenge for all the marbles

Etc etc...point is this...its really only week 7 of the season and a lot teams have only played six games of a twelve game schedule...or in other words...we are halfway through the season. I love the ESPN and radio sports talk shows that anoint two three teams as locks almost to win everything.

Bama is going to lose somewhere in my opinion..Oregon will lose somewhere, the girls school. OSU may not because of the weak azz conference they play and Clemson will falter also.

Today I heard on the radio that there will be at least 5 BCS schools undefeated by years end and I had to laugh. Teams are now getting into the meaty part of their schedule and will drop like flies soon enough...maybe one or two will lose in the conf championship game...but lose they will. I doubt there will be more than 2 undefeated schools and there may be only 1 team unscathed.

I'll defend Oregon here -

Actually - one could argue that Oregon's 1 loss teams were better than Bama's one loss teams. If Oregon had played ND last year for the title it would have been much worse. Its not like Bama's last two titles did not have a home loss sprinkled in. If the media was West Coast bias - Bama only wins in 2009 and Oregon has 1 or 2 titles. Please don't start with the "my loss was better than your loss" crap either-its just a popularity contest.

If you compare schedules this year - I think Oregon's schedule is more difficult. So if they both go undefeated - who should be #1? Leave your ESPN talking points at home.

Chip Kelly was a legit coach (see NFL success compared to Saban, Spurrier).

The members of the SEC officially invite Oregon to play 4 of the Big 6 SEC schools - 2 on the road and 2 at home. For arguments sake, we'll take Bama, TAMU, USCe, and LSU.

What do you think your odds are of running the table?

Thats right - ZERO. Face it - our schedules are just way tougher than yours (except for Bama's of course). The speed advantage that you have against WSU and Arizona vanishes when you play the SEC.

So essentially you are saying the PAC 12 is stronger than the SEC by saying Oregon has a tougher schedule?!?! Good knock on your self dumb arse...

I'm an LSU fan. You have drank way too much of the "team SEC" kool aid.

You're right, a schedule that includes the UAB Blazers, the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Furman Paladins is much tougher than ours. Your only real games are Georgia, Florida, Bama and ATM. Georgia's disintegration won't help your SOS. Florida is not very good, they already have 2 losses. That leaves Bama and ATM as your possible quality wins. We've got Stanford and UCLA twice.

They are really the best team in the nation.

They've never had this many great skill position players, and Mariota is the best quarterback they've ever had in their recent run. He's going to win the Heisman.

I'd argue right now that they are the best team in the nation, and it's not close. However, they aren't going to get much better. Give an
Alabama or an LSU 5 weeks of practice as sort of a "2nd spring" and it would end up being a very close game that could go either way. But as for now, I really don't understand how only five AP voters are giving them their #1 vote.
