That sucks. I was wondering why it hadn't been mentioned on the board. Really great movie
The Hornet's Nest

Went to go see yesterday and I was very impressed. The movie was done well and the soldiers got to tell their stories. Restrepo was better due to the fact that it did not once stray away from the soldiers. The Hornet's Nest is also about the director and his son who try to rekindle their relationship in Afghanistan. The only negatives were that a lot was done to add dramatic effect and the fact that the director diverted too much of the attention to himself. Overall, great movie. The ending was by far the best I have seen in any war movie. Had me in the feels. Definitely worth a watch if it is playing in your area.
re: Did any of you feel sympathy for Alex in the film "Prisoners"...SPOILERS

No sympathy here. Knew what was going on and everytime he spoke to HJ it was in some damn riddle.

I feel like Nolan is sitting back waiting to see how bad this movie will be compared to what he made. There will never be a batman that can come close to Nolan's.

Elaborate. SN: This is one of those movies you have to see in 3d to fully appreciate.

"My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." Maximus Decimus Meridius

My brothers, steady your hearts, look deep into your souls... For your metal is to be tested this day. If in the heat of battle, you need a reason to fight on. An idea for which you will give up all that you will ever have..you need only to look at that man who fights at your side. This is the why of battle. This is the brotherhood of men at arms. An unbreakable bond made stronger by the crucible of combat. You will never be closer than with those who you shed your blood with. For there is no nobler cause than to fight for those who will lay down their life for you. So you fight strong today! You fight for your brothers. Fight for your families. Most of all you fight for Greece!

Please save your money. I'm begging you. I was half asleep during the time I was there.. People were walking out of the theatre on this one. I had to get out of there as well. It was really bad.

This movie did nothing but glorify Jordan and his crazy arse drug filled life. There is no moral and nothing to learn. This movie drawn from the book is him bragging about his rich life.

That's what I was missing. I wasn't sure how he wound up alone, but it was the rpg.

Slow your role there high speed. Was just asking a question. Definitely was not asking why did he leave them when they were already dead.

They were dead. He was shot up and alone. I would have left them too.
Haven't finished reading the book. But I know he gives vivid descriptions of their deaths.... Did he watch them die?
