Jury is still out, but as things currently stand Pete Golding seems to be more responsible for Ole Miss's success rather than Kiffin

Kiffin pre-Golding: 23-13
Kiffin with Golding: 32-6
post-Kiffin: 3-1(all vs top 25 teams)

5 Natties. LSU doesn’t claim the 1908 one, but the NCAA recognizes it

Yes: Kiffin is instant offense in a can

No: Kiffin is still the same old Kiffin

Could add a few more if we, like Bama, used the offbrand Championships

We have enough historical data on Kiffin to know given enough time we will sink a program.

There has only been 1 school that he left worse than he found it and that was probation era USC. There is a reason places are pissed when he leaves.

You would think that now that the season has officially started, everyone would be more focused on talking about their own teams. Yet somehow, LSU still seems to be occupying a fair amount of real estate in the minds of fans who aren’t even LSU fans.

I’m genuinely curious, what is it about LSU that keeps them on the minds of so many fans around here? I’m just trying to understand the fascination and obsession?

Was that not Kiffin's record after 3 years without Golding? Is that not their record after adding Golding? Maybe Golding was really running the show behind the scenes the entire time

When you tune in to hate watch a team hoping they lose, and they win 51-10, it tends to elicit an emotional response.

I remember hating Kiffin before he was LSU’s coach. And I’m man enough to admit the hate was because he made Ole Miss relevant. The hate was because Ole Miss was no longer a rent a win because Kiffin is a damn good coach.

I understand why the rest of you hate him, because I’ve been there. It’s because you know deep down that LSU is a real fricking problem for your teams chances at championship now. Whether you admit it or not, LSU fans already know it.

Good luck.

A badass man admits this after Kiffin pours gas on your program and sets it on fire while walking away to the Miami Dolphins like Johnny Cage

Ole Miss was light years ahead of Indiana a few years ago and Cignetti blew by them in a short time. That says a lot about opportunity for any team to break through
