Yes : To have a fan base as deluded as theirs is something any university should be envious of. Bama fans have lately been very critical and reasonable in their expectations of the new staff, yet LSU fans now think a coach who has yet to coach in a conference championship game will lead them to playoff wins.

In this century, LSU has won 3 of those 4 NC’s with three different Head Coaches/Staffs.

Meh, he seems to have gotten slowly more mature. I have a feeling he does very well at LSU.
ETA: It is very possible that Kiffin could end up being the GOAT LSU coach.

If it is deluded to believe that a new coach can turn a program around and get them on the track to the playoffs and hopefully a championship, then most fans of bigtime schools are deluded.
Speaking of deluded, and I love how you glazed over it, Bama fans have shown to be just as deluded as everyone else, if not moreso. It took the worst beating in team history to finally make you guys critical of your current coach. Up until that time, this board was full of "we are Bama, we always win" type shite.

All I know is we have never looked more prepared for a week one game in 15 years. I like the coaching so far very much.

Gee, I don't know... how about relevance?
His last two stops, FAU and Ole Miss, had seasons like they'd never had before Kiffin. I'd say that's way more relevant to today than his failed stint with the Raiders.
