To add to this thread, the Aggies just lost by 11 to the BasketSharks in basketball in the year of our Lord 2021.

Holy shite, this is the epitome of getting way ahead of yourselves while at the same time being one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this board.

There's no way you believe this.

Aggie basketball is a joke. We should just cancel the program. Im not sure our fans would even notice to be honest.

The lower records are because we only had conference games. All conference games equal out to .500.

But take a look at LSU for example. You went 5-5 on the year. Seems terrible, but if you add just 2 cupcake games, they are 7-5. Going further, if you remove 2 of the SEC games that were loses and replace them with 1 more G5 and a possible P5 win, suddenly LSU's record is 9-3. Which is where most reasonable LSU fans would have predicted for the year.

There might be a little difference there, I didn't look into the specific wins and losses or who LSU would have played OOC. But that kind of thing would have happened across the majority of West teams.

It's also why conferences like the Pac12 are dumb as frick for adding more conference games. If they were to make me commish of the Pac12, the first thing I would do would be to go to an 8 game conference schedule.

A&M will lose 4 games next year. They will have a porous offensive line.

You keep believing that and no practice and many free kegs the week yall play us.

I have watched close enough to see the backups play and there is going to be a shock as to how in the hell is the Aggie OL good again this year?

The amount of losses for A&M will be dependent on the schedule and order of the teams. By the end of the year, the offense could be very good. So if the schedule is front-loaded it may be a little worse. If it is back-loaded I don't think we lose too many games

Defense will be great throughout the year

Aside from Layden Robinson who else looked good? We need 3 more in addition to him and I'm not seeing it. I think we can find a center and guard but who is going to play right tackle? Blake Trainor????

Its going to be rough next year. No question.

Henson is a great OL coach. Look at the success he had at OkSU, and with the three star group of seniors in just his second season. BTW, all of the replacements on the OL will have had time in the system, and are at least individually more talented.

The exception is Bryce Foster who I expect will start at OG this year, because the kid is already physically ready for the SEC grind.

Why would a mediocre LSU team suddenly be able to beat any OOC opponent when we were dropping games to middling-to-bad SEC teams?

This LSU team was going 8-4 at *best* if we had some bounces go our way, but with the non-covid schedule and how we actually turned out, 6-6 or 7-5 were more likely

Because middling to bad SEC teams are better than top teams in other conferences?

Fine, I went and looked at LSU's old schedule.

Your OOC schedule: UTSA, Texas, Rice and Nicholls St.

3 of those are easy wins. The other is Texas, who went 7-3 on a shitty Big12 schedule with 1 OOC cupcake and fired their HC. LSU beat better.

LSU's 2 East opponents were originally Florida and South Carolina. LSU won both of those.

So, with losses to: Alabama, Miss St, A&M and Auburn, LSU would have had 4 losses. All SEC West losses and the only one of those teams that wasn't improved over the previous year was Auburn, who was about the same.

7-5 if you lose to Texas, 8-4 if you win.

How is LSU on a downslide? We win the national title and had a heisman winner. Finished in the top 3 in recruiting and still had a top 5 win this season despite going 5-5.

LSU is on a downslide from a 15-0 season and arguably the best team in college football history. 13-0 with a close win over Ohio State this year would be considered a drop off from 2019.
