Thank you for the post but I truly think we will not get in. We should get the next best bowl.

Tennessee is one of the top four teams.

Easily in the first 4 out without 3+ P5 conference champs with more than 1 loss.

LSU fans going to get humbled soon
LSU finished the season last year with 39 scholarship players in the Texas bowl, how much more humble can you get?

Tennessee played @ LSU & home vs Bama, back to back weekends. Won both. Has anyone played 2 top 10 teams consecutive weekends and won both this year?

LSU was ranked 25 when we played. We just squeaked an ugly win against Auburn.

We've improved significantly since then, largely because of losing that game so badly.

But UT shouldn't get credit for a top 10 win given where we were when we played.

I'm not saying it should happen, but a scenario I haven't seen discussed a lot is what if Michigan or anOSU loses a very close one in their game at the end of the year? Do they both stay above UT in the end of season top 4? They're both currently ranked above UT and have mostly dominated their competition all season. UT has played the more difficult schedule, certainly, but a close loss might be looked at more favorably compared to UT's loss. Again, not saying I agree with it, just something to consider.

If Michigan barely beats Ohio St, then both teams are likely in because of Ohio St’s brand. Tennessee needs UGA to beat LSU and Ohio State to beat Michigan.

Why? That's not even their title game.

Because Ohio St will get the Bama bump because of their brand and ratings.

Tennessee should be in if everyone holds where they are. Either Ohio or Michigan will be eliminated.

Tennessee is better than all but three teams right now.

You nailed it. Tennessee would beat any of the other contenders and probably by a lot. The only 2 teams that are better are Georgia and maybe Ohio State. They have earned a spot.

I would be over the moon if VOLS got a crack at tOSU or Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl

Both would be interesting scenarios. Ohio State seems similar to UT while Michigan runs a system that is the complete opposite. Either matchup would be must-see TV.

I don’t think they want to get into a shootout with UT. Question is do they have a defensive front that can get too Hooker, and a defensive backend that can man up with UT’s receivers?

And all kidding aside, I think Tennessee gets left out unless chaos ensues. Why? Because the committee is tired of 2 SEC teams a year in the playoffs. So unless there’s just absolutely no choice for them, Tennessee isn’t going in.

I think UT is 1 of the 4 best teams and should be in if it’s really the 4 best teams. But if it really was the playoff would be 4 of UGA/OSU/Mich/LSU/TN/Bama

But I think they’re going to take one loss conference champions over Tennessee.

You caught momentum in one vs a team catching their legs

And, got 17 penalties vs no calls, even after replay, vs another, while still needing a missed FG and a miracle knuckle ball made FG to win AT HOME

Uga is much more representative of where UT is and all know it.

Sorry that your dream year ends much like basketball and baseball. But, not sorry

frick UTk

I have to agree. Maybe we will have another game against the Vols.
