Just turned 44. For 43 years I never once asked myself if I was a Yankee. For 1 year I have done nothing but wonder if I am now.

Missouri is who we thought they were. They aren't a bad addition, they aren't a great addition and we often forget they are even there sort of like South Carolina before Spurrier. They were only brought in to even out the number of teams after the SEC brought in the big catch (Texas A&M). At this point, anything Missouri brings to the table is a bonus.

in south louisiana many of the cajun folk have referred to north louisianians as yankees for years. so basically, your yankee status is not really in question. and just saying you are setting aside being an a-hole really doesn't accomplish that. but, your post is a good one.

Parent's families are from Northern Mo. & Southern Ia. Pretty much the same lifestyle as the rural South, minus the accent. Oh, and ya don't see many Blacks in that area either.
