Im curious how does UF and Arkansas compare strictly since Arkansas joined the SEC? Was the SWC an easier path for Arkansas than UF in the SEC? Or was it harder? That would skew overall wins and tourney appearances. Both teams success seems pretty even to me like several people have stated.
Arkansas since joining the SEC has only made it to two Final Fours. Their one natty is during their SEC tenure. All of Florida's have been since Ark joined, matter of fact Florida was in the Final Four the year Arkansas won it all.

Arkansas has a fairly young history that didn't begin until the 1920s.

Picking between Florida and Arkansas is really cutting hairs.
If forced to choose I'm taking the Hogs for beating Duke in the final.

They don't. Like 5 more NCAAT wins but we have the extra title.

College football hall of famer Francis Schmidt went 113-22 at Arkansas..in basketball.
Arkansas was pretty good in basketball and was superior to the struggling football program.
That changed in the 50s and would remain mediocre until the early 70s when Broyles decided to make it a priority.

Didn't we also once get to the Elite 8 with Sonny?
Lost to Louisville in the West Regional final in 1986.
I think we beat Arizona, St John’s and maybe UNLV to get to regional final in Houston.
Will have to e to look up.

Yeah but didn't they have multiple final 4s in the 40s etc or is Wikepedia working me over?
They have exactly 1 more F4 than us all time.

It’s pretty incredible how bad we are at basketball. You would have thought we’d occasionally luck out into having a good team but nope. Just pure shite
Especially considering how much high school talent the state of Georgia produces. One of the most talent rich basketball states in the country

Who’s the winningest program in the last five years?
That would be Auburn!
Know-one gives a crap what you did decades ago!
