First, our backup QB won't be on the field in garbage time to throw a pick-six, nor will another muffed handoff at the goal line occur against either. As for giving up 40 anyway:
Vs. AU - we won't. Not with Nix still learning SEC speed/no passing attack
UGA - we will worry about them when/if they land in our path.

By the same token, you would expect Texas to surpass 38 points against LSU, seeing as how they have a better offense than Vandy AND Auburn. But they didn't surpass 38 points, they couldn't even score as many as 38 points.
Not sure why you think Auburn's Chinese-Fire-Drill offense will succeed in Tiger Stadium this year. I guess you have to have hope.

Dude, Auburn has a freshman qb. Sam Ehlinger couldn't hang 40 on us at his house. Bo Nix isn't going to be the first Auburn qb to win in Tiger Stadium this century. Gus 0-2 against O, and this is the best LSU team he's had.
