Watching the SCAR game it was obvious South Carolina left points on the field. Especially right before the half and SCAR racked up 459 total yards.

LSU Struggled vs Vandy letting up almost 40 points.

My question is if these teams can do that kind of damage then what happens when a team like AU or UGA is able to put up 40+ points on the board. Are you confident in your in your teams throwing up 50 on these Defenses to win the game?

What are your score predictions?

I'd say somewhere in the ballpark of 44-16

I’m confident LSU and Bama can score on any team in the country due to the talent at QB and the insane depth at WR.

UGA’s defense doesn’t scare me at all as I don’t think their D line is game changing/all world. I think Auburn’s is and that could be a problem.

UGA’s offense concerns me, but not Auburn’s.

Didn’t realize Bama gave up that many more yards than LSU.

I’ll be worried about LSU putting up points for years. I’ve been burned too many times

You guys got the same defensive backs as last year?

Then yea, pretty confident we'll do it. Again.

Auburn score 27 vs. Oregon and 24 vs. Tulane.

No one is worried about Auburn’s offense.

I doubt the "I aint afraid of no ghosts" bravado is entirely true, but your point that UGA's d-line is not the most talented unit in the SEC is well taken. You can say the same to a lesser degree about the LBs although there is some really impressive young talent in that group. Where I think you may be mis-firing or shooting your wad too early is that UGA's secondary IS that good this year. With the exception of LeCounte, that is a top 10 secondary unit in the US of A. And if Divaad Wilson continues his trajectory plus Tyson Campbell and Eric Stokes get healthy, I would put that unit up against any in the country right now.

Also Clyde Edwards-Whatever isn't going to beat anyone. You need Emery to come around quickly to make a real run once you get into better Ds and teams selling out against Burrow (who is the best QB in the nation right now).

Neither LSU or Bama is happy with D play, and are both ate tf up with starter injuries.

Bashing is done almost exclusively by trolls on both sides.

That's what is great about our offense. It's predicated on the idea of take what the defense gives you. Right now, we are up there with Bama as having the best WR core in the nation. No team in the nation can cover our three guys at once so, good luck trying.

If a defense sells out on the pass though, that sets up the run game and screen game. And really, a majority of our run game is passing out of the backfield to CEH for gains that typically go for 5-8 yards. So, again, good luck. Our playmakers are finally in space and no one can guard them.

LSU’s D did not give up close to 40 points. Do your research before you start a thread.

Auburn is last in the conference in passing - that's below even Vandy.

LAST.

Auburn's pass defense is mediocre, at best. LSU is #2 in the country in passing.

Ain't scared, it's all in the Binder.

Okay, your team did. Point still stands what happens when you let up over 40 to an AU or UGA?

I think UGA's defense has been better than both Auburn's and Florida's thus far.

For Auburn, remember, Oregon dominated at the start of the game, and they aren't exactly setting offensive records this year. They did a good job against A&M, but they have been struggling to figure out who they are offensively. I think Jimbo wants to be run first, and wants Mond to be a pocket passer, but he is being stubborn and not taking what the defenses are giving him. So Auburn stacked the box last week, and Mond couldn't beat them with his arm.

Florida has been very good defensively, but it's not like they've been tested all that much.

UGA has been dominant thus far, and did a really good job against an underrated Notre Dame team that was in the CFP last year. Also, their numbers are pretty impressive, especially against the run.

Alabama and LSU's defenses have actually performed right around the level that Florida and Auburn have performed, with Alabama looking a little shaky against USC, but remember, USC has talent on offense and Bama did win that game by 3+ scores.

For LSU, everyone looks at 38 points given up to Vandy when 14 points were scored directly by the Vandy defense. Also, Vandy scored on the opening drive. After that, the defense gave up 17 points to the Vandy offense over the next 56 minutes with the LSU offense scoring at a clip of 1:40 average per TD drive. And, that was without three of our four best defensive linemen. Vandy had a couple of long runs that resulted from poor pursuit lanes and tackling, and that ain't good. But, I'm not that worried.
