For example Saban in this case.

All of this talk of Jimbo can't win there, impossible to win there, is just hogwash.
I dig it. I could live with him turning Aggie around, competing for titles, winning a the West once or twice over 4-6 years.

Then, jumping ship to take over Bama when Saban retires and dominating to a decade plus.

Seems like UA got a good coach from Aggie before

Landing Jimbo has resulted in many LSU related threads from A&M posters. CGSC started one and reviewed all the LSU coaches from the last 100 years. I mean, frick.

And they rode that success all the way until about 2011, only to be back hovering around .600 like they're fricking Troy or something.

I guess lawyers don't need to be proficient in basic level math.

...and it takes the right coach AND the right program. Texas AM isnt the program that it thinks it is. When jimbo went to fsu, they were already a powerhouse program that had been to the pinnacle of success in college football...Texas AM isnt and hasn't reached that point. There's a big difference in jimbo taking over fsu, where it had been proven already that titles could be won there, and taking over AM, where there had been no success of the sort in their entire history. Keep dreaming.

OP and other Ags keep forgetting: 1. Your program has a profound little bro mentality through and through. This very thread is an example. It holds you back whether you realize it or not. 2. Despite being in Texas, a half dozen or more better programs routinely pick the state clean of its best talent. Even with UT down, the Aggies still haven't made deep inroads. Telling. 3. Your campus is ugly as shite and College Station is one of the 2 or 3 worst towns in the SEC 4. A&M's culture is fricking weird, this absolutely has creeped out recruits LSU was always a sleeping giant. A&M has never and will never be a dominant force, unless they start cheating like they did in the 80's/early 90's. You are where you are for a reason. Deal with it.

Before ww2, so it may as well have not happened. Recruits today don't give a damn about what texas am did in 1939. That does nothing in proving that texas am has what it takes to win a title in today's college football world. It just doesnt.

Exactly. He is not worth 7.5 million dollars a season...especially not for 10 year fully guaranteed. Wtf is am thinking? It's like they are trying to pay for a title and it just doesn't work that way lol. It's ridiculous. I just can't wait to see how aggy reacts when they get the same ole shite on the field after all of this money this hey have pumped into their program. It will be glorious. They will continue to make threads bashing O though...even with him dominating them on the field year after year. I can't wait.

Once again, texas am fans are taking jimbos success at LSU and florida st as an example of what he will do at am. It doesn't work like that. I compare this to the way spurrier had success at florida, but couldn't ever match his previous success at south carolina...why you ask? Well, because south carolina isn't florida. The same way texas am isnt florida state or lsu. No matter how well you dress up a pig, it's still a pig. Jimbo will struggle at texas am, the same way every coach has struggled there. There's simply too much competition. LSU, bama, auburn, etc, are just waiting to kick his arse and it will be a very tough task for him. It's just the facts of where texas am stands in the sec. They aren't a bigtime program no matter how much they try to buy it.

No one likes to address the fact that without a Jameis Winston, Jimbo is pretty average. He's a Les Miles: exceptional recruiter, but can't put it together on the field like he should.

Without Jameis, Jimbo never won the ACC (a far easier conference and division than the SECW) and has a 1-4 record against Clemson.

He's also got some pretty indefensible losses to unranked teams with his top 5, nationally elite talent he brings in every year.

You’re being generous. We’ve seen TCU, Baylor and even Texas Tech that one season under Leach field teams that at the very least seriously challenged for a NC right until the last game of the season. We’ve never seen Aggie do that. Not even close. They are no one.

Well now you've got them all back patting each other for an entire page without even posting again. Pretty solid troll.
