Yeah I'm pretty sure the series was like 10-8 or something before Saban got there. It was a pretty good back-and-forth between the teams. Losing the 2014 game still bugs me.

Guys, Auburn didn't play football in 2012, not sure what y'all are talking about. It was an election year and Coach Chizik wanted everyone to focus on more important things, something like that. Either way, there definitely we're no Auburn games that year

Also, I don't complain about the fake injury thing. Auburn was whooping our tail at that point and it was funny.

I agree, it was hilarious. People forget it was a shot at Bielema and nothing more

Yep, and Bert blamed it on the elevator. Didn't have anything to do with exceeding the maximum weight. He tried to make it like Auburn pulled some shenanigans.

Jesus H Christ that video is awful.

It was 1998 not 1948.

I've seen videos from 1948 with better quality.

That was a loaded Arkansas team. Ford couldn't coach anymore to save his life, but the guy had stockpiled some serious talent.

That's nothing in 1906 Bama suspended most of their squad for a game and Vandy beat them 78 - 0. To fully appreciate this think about offenses in 1906 and then take a look at the other teams Bama played that year and how much they scored on Bama.

1906-Alabama (Independent)

10/6 vs. Maryville (3-3-2) W 6 0
10/13 vs. Samford (non-IA) W 14 0
10/20 @ Vanderbilt (8-1) L 0 78
11/3 @ Mississippi State (2-2-1) W 16 4
11/17 vs. Auburn (1-5-1) W 10 0 @ Birmingham, AL
11/29 vs. Tennessee (1-6-2) W 51 0 @ Birmingham, AL

5-1-0

Yes, 10-7. Plus you gave us the worst and most demoralizing loss in the last 60 years - 42-6 in '98. Because of incompetence, corruption and arrogance which resulted in severe sanctions, '97-06 was the worst 10 year run in program history. You were 6-4. Hopefully, that will never happen again. Hopefully, Bama's 17-1 record outside of that period will remain the norm. 5 of those 17 wins were one score or less and a couple of others were closer than the score indicated. I hope y'all recover. Most here don't realize how good your history is. You've actually done a decent job in the SEC until post-Petrino. Even then CBB had a couple of decent seasons, close to being very good. Some of those A&M losses were excruciating and 2014 Bama and who can forget 98 UT. No intent to bring pain, just sympathizing - I felt for you and of course hated UT.

Your just stating your opinion as fact. No need to get defensive. Everyone knows Alabama is and always will be the best program in the SEC. Arkansas won all those games regardless. We had no control on what team you fielded. Arkansas played and beat the team across from them.

You were hardly alone

2012 Auburn Halftime Scores

Alabama : 42-0

For all of you who think that Saban is evil incarnate, this actually proves he has a heart.

After the 34 point spread was covered in the 2nd quarter - Saban let off the gas very early after halftime in the 3rd quarter, pulled the starters by the 4th, and didn't even let the backups run a reasonable offense. Bama probably could have scored 70 that day, all kidding aside.

And I gotta admit, I was screaming for him to do it. No offense.
