Yes, but in this instance, which fan base has 4 pages about how Auburn cheated to get him?

I'll answer for you, Alabama.

You should go check out ITAT some time. They have a whole damn forum about how Alabama is cheating and how we are going to get the death penalty blah blah blah

You can take heart in that yall were the first team to be stripped of an SEC Championship for cheating if that makes you feel better, since you don't really have a dog in this fight other than to bash at Bama.

we did get our arse' kicked, and you will not hear me make any excuses about it. why would I jump on the bandwagon of something that's unproven? that's definitely not happening on this end.

their history of cheating is proven.. as is ours.. you're calling ours out and dismissing theirs, thats the part I'm talking about.

I was actually referring to the product Auburn is putting on the field as unproven, not their history of cheating. I'm well aware of that. I'm going to back out of this argument because apparently I'm choosing sides here and I don't have a dog in the fight. I'll back out by saying, every school bends the rules in recruiting, and NOBODY is 100% clean, at least if you're a decent football program.

Agreed. But Au is the only one between the two to have proven head coaches and assistant coaches to have paid their athletes.

No problem with the kid going to Auburn it is the way he handled it that reeks. You dont find it slightly disrespectful to call the coach and a reporter commit to Bama or any other univ and then switch at the last minute kind of rubbing it in their face. He should have just called off the announcement called the coaches and explained then commit to Auburn. I dont think that would be unreasonable.

Apparently it was family enough when he committed to Alabama last night, then switched today. He had a freaking Alabama banner hanging up behind him when he was set to announce, and took it down literally five minutes before he announced. It was such a surprise, no doing a story on it for Auburn even showed up. Everyone in the crowd for his announcement were Alabama fans. I mean, this is weirdest thing I've ever seen in recruiting.

I was told by an Alabama guy earlier this week that Region and Dismukes wer putting back their announcements because Saban told them that if they commit he refuses that they take visits.Strong feelings coming out of Bama that Saban was really burned by the Keanen Allen circumstances and is telling kids that if they want to commit to Bama then they should be sure about and ready to not take visits.I completely understand why his stance would be this way but it will not work with kids these days. They are constantly looking for the next option.I also find it very hippocritical to take this stance when Saban himself encourages kids that he wants to visit Bama if they are commited to other schools. You can't have it both ways. All will be fine in Bama land.Another very good class will come in this year like the past few.Saban is just feeling a little spurned right now.

Don't commit a year ahead then and there isn't a problem.

If true I agree. I can understand wanting a kid to commit but not take visits, but all he is sayingis if you are not sure dont commit. Take your visits and then commit. The way this guy upstaged Bama was a bad move. If he decided to go to Bama if it was a life long dream he has kind of burned that bridge. Like I said he should have called off the announcement called Saban and said I am not ready. Dont call the media say bama call the coach say Bama yall come watch and then commit to an instate rival.
