Of course we wanted him. I don't know if he's the top OL or not though.

Bama fans, what happens if he switches back? Do you accept his commitment with open arms?

Yet you dedicated an entire argument to him

Yeah...I love to banter about college football. I guess growing up a Bama fan in Tennessee had something to do with that. It is never personal for me. It was only a few posts anyway dude. Why do you care?

The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Region from Cullman went into his announcement planning to commit to Alabama, but according to a source close to Region, the Tide may have been a little too aggressive.

"He said that Auburn is the place he wants to go," the source said. "(Alabama) was pressuring him, saying that if he didn't commit, he wouldn't have a spot.

"It just felt like they were being vultures because they knew it was always his dream to play there, but that really didn't sit well with Spencer."

So he made the switch.

"He called coach (Gene) Chizik on his way to the announcement and decided that Auburn was where he wanted to go," the source said. "At Auburn, he wants to be there, but if Auburn isn't the place for him he can still take visits, not be locked into a box like the way Alabama was trying to do."

Tommy Trott got what he wanted. He can tell his grandchildren that he played against a National Championship Alabama Team.

I personally hope Saban tells this kid there is no room for him. I wish him the best, but the kid just showed what he is about.

Sounds like a bit of a drama queen but if Saban wants him back its fine with me. This doesn't strike me as the most solid verbal commitment ever.

We still got 11 months to go until National Signing Day, and already we got drama that's going to last all those 11 months

If he's confused about his decision, he shouldn't have committed anywhere this early. JMO

I have a feeling that we'll be watching a Heavyweight fight between the two schools until NSD 2011.

I guess you're too stupid to figure out that had nothing to do with my post? I wasn't talking about Spikes and Ealey, was I? I think I was referring to how Bama used to cheat and now they're calling out Auburn for cheating. Let's try to follow along here mental midget.

No dog in this fight but this reeks. As far as I know CNS has always encouraged kids (- the UT deal last yr) to take visits. Great pickup, if it lasts for AU, but stuff like this is just a put off in regards to the recruiting game.
