3 pick 6's. Ridiculous article.

Article is about the 1/2 way point of season, not about last week only.

No, they do not. LSU has an advantage at running back but Bama has better balance.

Offensive Efficiency
LSU- 4th
Bama- 29th

QBR
Harris- 17th
Coker- 46th

Passing Efficiency
LSU- 50th
Bama- 67th

Oh and bama has thrown 8 INTs to LSU's 0

You can have your yards passing. We have the more efficient offense and score more per game.

Ridiculous, blatant homerism has made serious sports discussion almost impossible, with objective posters bordering on extinction here on tRant. If someone compliments aTm on their stadium the LSU fans hijack the thread with "TS IS THE BEST" nonsense. If anyone attempts to discuss a team's DBs (as you did here) it gets hijacked with "the opposing QB sucked." And don't even think about trying to have a discussion about running backs.

Edited to add that Bama has our fair share of homers.

Bama still has better offensive balance, as evidenced by the following:

Bama rush offense: 55% of plays for 45% of yardage.
LSU rush offense: 72% of plays for 71% of yardage.

It's about time a team, with the DB Guru Coach, has a decent group.

Of course, A&M made them look better than they actually are.

Ok? We have needed to be balanced for one game this year. No one else was really able to slow the run game down at all.

Against UF

202 passing
221 rushing

Again you can have your yardage balance. We are more efficient overall, have the better player, offensive line and more efficient QB who doesnt turn the ball over.

I won't argue one way or the other, but I will say it seems like most INTs in CFB are just tipped balls or horrible thrown passes.

Sooooooo true!!!!!

But wasn't it most of the LSU fan base telling Bama fans how Allen was going to torch us for 400 yards and such. Honestly I will say that A&M beat themselves

No, BAMA's front 7 made Kyle Allen it's little biatch!!! He was more worried about who was coming after him than he was about making accurate throws......now, the secondary played well and did a good job of taking the "easy" throws away from Allen, so in addition to being rushed he was also forced to throw into tight windows and/or double coverage.......

I thought the secondary looked good.........maybe a little underrated but time will tell...

I agree. Honestly I can't remember when it really went all down hill. It was either the 21-0 beatdown you guys put on us, seriously damaging the psyche of most of us LSU fans, or aTm joining the conference/board and bringing with them the ability to get under LSU's skin like nobodies business...especially don't understand how so many LSU fans fall into it when we haven't yet lost to them since they joined. Bama obviously has the ability bc we haven't beaten them since then.

I do think I will be absent for a while after the following happens: LSU beats bama again...I'll celebrate irl and leave the crazies to here. Or especially when aTm beats LSU...both sides will be just...I can't even say it...intolerable would be an understatement.

edited to say I hope the latter doesn't happen for a long long time obviously!

Op. To be clear Bama's secondary doesn't suck. Its just not as good as it has been.

Your teams strong point is its front 7, which I dont think anyone will argue with. Doesn't that leave your secondary as your defensive weakness?

Your defense is better than Florida's but their secondary is one of the most talented in the country. We had no trouble passing on them when we wanted to. I dont see why you guys think that we wont be able to move the ball on you effectively enough to make it a competitive game.

FWIW I think the Turnover margin is going to be what wins this game. We have been protecting the ball better. I hope we do the same against you. Its going to be close.

Enjoy it.

Actually it's much better than it has been the past two years.

You can't be realistic with Bama fans. When their team loses, it's because their players played bad. When they beat another team, it's because bama was absolutely dominant and caused all the issues. Anyone watching that game saw that Kyle Allen completely choked. He threw some horrible balls almost right to Alabama defenders, sometimes several feet away from a rec. Again though....it's not that Allen sucked...it's more to do with that all of the sudden, Alabama has a GREAT secondary. Complete knee-jerk. Just like everyone claiming Ole Miss was great after beating bama...now, if they lose to A&M, they might not even make a bowl game.

When you are the best team and you get beat then you played bad. It's not BS it's just reality. I'm not willing to say our secondary is complete shut down like in 2011. They've given up to many deep balls compared to that team. But they are so much better than last year which was our main problem. If our secondary was only half decent last year we beat OSU. This year we're getting more pressure on the QB than I've seen the entire Saban era. That can make any secondary look really good too and most of us knowledgeable Bama fans are realistic about that. However, our secondary has the best talent in the country coming out of HS and what's supposed to be the best secondary coaches so they should be good.

Alabama has no weaknesses on defense. This Bama defense is the GOAT.

There. Now, this means that Bama fans will post about how great Harris and Fournette are after LSU scores on this GOAT defense, right?

Are you trying to trash Mel Tucker? I think he has done a fabulous job thus far.
