I think he's improved overall and is showing more burst than he did his first 2 years. He wasn't quite ready his freshman year and last year we saw his vision and cutting ability, but this year he's added a level of explosiveness that really has taken him to a new level.

Still behind Guice who has been a running cripple this yr. Keep trying to be relevant...

but there is a reason people are raving about his improvement this year.

It's mainly because people are idiots and ignored him to clamor over the freakier-looking Scarborough. Harris was our best RB last year too. Kiffin's pussy offense just didn't do much to showcase him.

Harris is averaging literally 3 YPC more than Guice. He has 14 less yards on 43 less carries and has 10 TDs to Guices 6.

But sure.

I disagree and think Harris has made great strides - but they are two very very different running backs. Bo was great least year but i think has lost a bit in coming back from the injury (took him a bit coming back from his acl as well). Plus Bo is best used as a 4th quarter bruiser to demoralize a worn down D.

It sure is nice to have multiple options again and hopefully we can stay healthy this year.

The distance I walk from my bed to my shitter is farther than Guice’s career yards vs. Bama

Yea, our running roles right now are fantastic and only getting better as Daboll sprinkles Jacobs in at different, creative spots.

I've been thoroughly impressed with how well they've used all those guys.

Guice playing with sprained knee and running behind three TF OL. OL had 7 starts cumulative at beginning of year. Think how good he would be running behind Harris OL

That wasn't your argument. Your argument was something about being behind Guice even with Guice being crippled.

Guice is a great player, but Harris is also very fvckin good. Anybody saying otherwise doesn't watch him run.

For sure and I feel like our oline is playing better in the early part of the season. Maybe it is the play calling more to their strengths, may be due to competition (or lack of) but they just seem to be gelling very well.

Im sitting in a boring meeting and entertaining myself by arguing for sake of argument. Both guys are great players. See ya Nov 4! Guice needs a big game against Bama to put himself back in the conversation for post season awards

Bama being Bama will hurt Harris' chances of going to New York. Right now he's behind Barkley, Bryce Love from Stanford and Josh Adams from Notre Dame.

But seriously Harris is averaging 8.6 YPC compared to Johnson's 5.3. Massive difference.

Big difference in every category between the two most likely due to AU only having one RB all year. Johnson has played like a rampaging beast all year (with an injury) even when every defense knows AU is running the ball 70% of the time with no threat of QB run. KJ has been spectacular. I like Harris and he is a stud and he and jacobs need to get more carries.

I doubt that he'll have the opportunities/carries to be a serious Heisman candidate, but he's gonna be one helluva NFL running back. His patience/vision in the hole, along with his power and cut back ability will put him among the top tier in the league.

K. Johnson has looked great this year. His vision and patience is very impressive, and he packs a helluva punch for not being a massive guy.

If he does it will be because the same reason Bama's other rbs won it. There was no one that stood out in the nation and they threw it at someone on the top team. It's why it shouldn't be an every year award.
