Saban is not the best game day coach in the game, but he prepares a team better than any coach. People need to read what the reporters and talking heads discussed about the rematch game against LSU in 2011.You would find most of them agreed with what I’m saying now. There is 6 more years to back up that theory.

Who is then? It's not Gustav because he suckered unless he can sneak a play in before the previous one can be reviewed. That's why the neutral & impartial Playoff Committee completely dismissed the result of the Iron Bowl and put Bama in the playoffs clearly and convincingly over OSU.

What Stupid Puppet can't seem to grasp is that the Playoff Committee went back over the Iron Bowl using All-22 footage and saw Gustav and his cheat plays. While Stupid Puppet was busy celebrating the Playoff Committee had already decided to treat Bama as though they were undefeated .

And 6 national championships that proves that theory to be false.

Timeshare the definition of a theory:a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something, especially one based on general principles independent of the thing to be explained.

I know you were never taught that at the JC you attended, but nothing in college sports is based on facts.

Things will be back to normal at your apartment the next few weeks and then you will only have to contend with the normal weekend partiers until Memorial Day. Until then try to think straight.

Beyond your comprehension, but when teams do not play each other, then stats are comparing apples to oranges. It is even true in the SEC with Football. Is it a fact that Bama is better than OSU or Wisc? Thus the word theory.

This thread is 10 pages because Ironpuppet is triggered. Not much to do with Texas.

Imagine what it would be like if you threw in Cam Newton's name in the title.

Texas playing SEC teams is a huge mistake. If you lose you open the state up even more and even playing the game keeps te SEC more visible in state.

When a coach prepares his Staff and his players for the opponent, he can win at an elite level even if he isn't an elite level tactician. Saban focuses on the details, the fundamentals of the game. He admits he is not a genius or a guru - he's proven time and again that he doesn't have to be a guru to consistently win at an elite level.

Who is better? You win on Saturday by practicing hard and preparing, knowing your opponent, and executing your assignment, and focusing on your role and playing each play...that is Saban's mantra. If you are saying that Saban isn't the best X and O's guy you are still wrong. He knows it as well as anyone else. He is more of a defensive minded coach and will skew to ball control and defense if thats what wins games. He has also adapted his team to the spread trends and how to defeat them. Saban is as innovative as anyone in the game.

Based your assessment of Gus, why is the best gameday coach only 3-2 head to head? He always has the best talent. What about against Hugh Freeze?

Based on wins, titles, etc? These are facts.....

Yes......

In fact Alabama is either 1st or 2nd in the important facts that would lead you to say they are the better team.

Alabama is second only to Michigan in wins on the field (and Michigan has a 15 year head start)
Michigan -943
Alabama- 907

Alabama is 1st in National Titles won, and since 1920, has only gone 2 decades without winning at least one
(1950's and 1980's)

Alabama is 1st in 10 win seasons
Alabama is 1st in 11 win seasons
etc.......

Alabama has a winning record over every team they have played 10 or more times (only team that can say that)

Alabama has a winning record over the top 13 teams in wins all time, and plays in the SEC that has 5 of those teams.....

Fact.......
