Let's see... in a big game matchup, do I want to go with the team coached and prepared by the greatest coach in college football history, Nick Saban?

Or the team coached by whoever is the coach of Ohio State now?

Let's see....we were talking about if Ohio State was an inconsistent team this season, not whatever it is you're talking about?

They have the horses up front and the skill positions to score 40 on Gumps. It may not be enough but then again it might.

Whichever QB plays the best wins. Bama's DL is going to have to play their very best game by far. If the DL can't get the OSU QB out of sync then it will be a long long night.

Ohio State will run roughshod over the Bama defense.

Then they will surprise everyone outside of Columbus by shutting down the Bama defense.
Focus on the defense twice and ignore the offense? Sounds good.

Will luck have anything to do with the winning team?

If so we know CNS has a horse shoe up his arse.
So there is that.

Easy pick. Ohio State is better at:
- QB
- RB
- WR
- TE
- DL
- LB
- CB
- S

I love how WT21 just didn’t even list OL, which is arguably the position group Ohio State actually has the biggest advantage in

That would've required him knowing what he was talking about.

The score will not matter. The only thing that will matter is that the National Championship Trophy will be back in Columbus where it belongs.

Alabama has a kicker for the first time in 25+ years. Might be the difference.

Ohio State's defense is much more inconsistent and concerning, but it's not like they were going to hold Bama to less than 35 points anyways. It'll be a shootout, and the result will probably come down to who executed better in the red zone. Ain't nobody preventing the other from marching down the field into the red zone on nearly every possession though.

You make great points but to counter, the Alabama defense has been less than stellar against the few capable offenses it has faced this season.

Yeah this is our problem. This is not the Bama defense of old. I’m honestly thinking Ohio state wins. They’re healthier and their strengths are Bamas weakness.

Could we see OSU getting a lot of quick scores? The good news with that scenario is there will be plenty of time to make a come back granted the defense makes a few stops along the way.
If Clemson's DLine got pushed around, this one is a no brainer with what's about to happen.

What?

Alabama's offensive line is light years better than Ohio State's.

I guess you are a dumbass after all.

It really isn’t and Ohio State’s offensive line depth is probably better.

Ohio State actually matches up okay with Bama. Fields is the kind of dual threat QB that has historically given them fits
Field can be rattled with pressure. With Anderson and barmore he should be under pressure constantly. I think we are better at pretty much every position except middle linebacker and one of the safety spots

OSU has the athletes all over and QB play to keep this one close. I don't think they really have a positional advantage over Alabama this season anywhere on either side of the ball, with the idea that maybe their DL is slightly better then ours, but that's arguable and this is not the OSU D-line of 2015-2020 with the Bosa brothers and Chase Young playing.

Aside from some great chunk throws from Fields, the biggest mismatch was Clemson's O-line getting dominated which just blew up any semblance of a balanced offense. I'm not sure they can do the same thing to Alabama
