Alabama vs Auburn: Anti-climatic

As an avid LSU follower, I have no love lost for all things Alabama, which includes both schools. I am also a very recent convert from all things SEC to anti-SEC. So, with that being said, here is my non-biased breakdown of the Iron Bowl.
Alabama has a decided advantage in this game. Home field can't even begin to balance the edge AL has on both sides of the ball. Some who won't scratch beneath the surface may point to the simple eye test as it relates to LSU. AU loses by 2 TD's and Bama wins by 3. But, truthfully, it goes much deeper than that.
It has proven historically very difficult to run on Saban's defenses. Those that have enjoyed moderate success have been able to take advantage of AL's larger LB's side to side, which AU would seem very capable of doing. One thing AL can do to counter is involve their safeties in second run support. They are very sure tacklers. Of course, this would leave them more vulnerable to the pass over the top, which brings me to my next point.
Once Saban successfully makes AU one dimensional, this game is over. Nick Marshall is not going to be able to attack AL's only true weakness, coverage in the secondary. He is not a Cam Newton type of player. LSU's safeties, not our best crop by far, enjoyed career days in tackles, and Marshall couldn't take significant advantage of what LSU was giving.
On the other side of the ball, AL has proven to be balanced, and AU will have its hands full picking its poison. I think they'll spend more time on their heels than their toes.
FTR, I'll be pulling for AU, but I can't ignore these things which I know to exist from a football standpoint. I really don't get how so many of the AU posters on here exude any confidence. These posters have to be caught up in the moment.
Alabama 35
Auburn. 14

Solid post, but
CJ Mosley is not a linebacker you can take advantage of from side to side.

I don't particularly care one way or the other about either team (although I dislike bama more), but I have a feeling alabama is going to win by at least 17.

He's no Jake Holland, I admit. But, I think he might hold his own.

The only thing that keeps AU in the game would be Bama turnovers. Lots of them.

We'll, maybe that's why the success has been moderate.
Mosley does seem like he's been around awhile, but all 7 of Saban's seasons at Bama?
Who knew?

AU will have a pass package that will open up the running game. People who think NM can not pass are only watching the first third of AUs season. Keep in mind, NM had been on campus less than one month before the season started. His biggest problem has been dropped balls, not Ints.

Sumlin's system will never win in the SEC. Physical teams will push your shite in!

Reasonable post. My head says Alabama by 17, but my guy is telling me some crazy shite is going to go down at Jordan-Hare and this thing is going to be decided on the last possession.

Yea THIS, after watching a few quarters from a few different games on youtube I came to the conclusion that he is a good passing QB when he needs to be. Its not his arm that gets him into trouble its his decision making. If he shows a little discretion and patience in the Iron Bowl then he should do fine. But that will be most dependent on AU's ability to move the ball on the ground.

I agree with the op. Bama just has too much that auburn can't compete with.

I don't have much of an issue with your conclusion. It is fairly reasonable.
Your analysis of the AU/LSU game is a little off base, but Bama's D is different and better than LSU's, so it is mostly irrelevant anyway.

Since you also took the time to respond, I'll give you a nugget.
