It may actually be a decent idea. He is detailed, organized, and calculated.

Probably better than half the Governors right now.

Terrible idea. If he thinks meddling by the admin side of things in football is bad, he'd have an infarction with the meddling, compromises, corruption, and all-around incompetence in positions of influence in government

Only an idiot would think a football coach would have the capacity to manage a state. Saban as Governor? Good luck with that notion...

I don't doubt you but to be honest politics everywhere is a fricking joke.

I would not only vote for him, I would donate to his campaign and volunteer 40 hours a week to get him elected.

Anything to end his coaching career.

Saban is a Democrat. The residents would lose their shite when they realize his actual political positions.

I think he would bring the same devotion, and dedication, and skill, to the governor's mansion as he does on the sidelines coaching. Saban is truly a modern day Renassance man.

Absolutely.

He made the University very wealthy.

So as Governor, maybe he can take Alabama off the UN's list of the worst and poorest place to live in the world

If Battle wins it has nothing to do with the REC but everything to do with him being a damn good mayor. Economic growth under Battle in Huntsville has been astronomical.

He just brought in one of the biggest automotive deals this state has seen in a long time, Toyota/Mazda.
