I would personally cross party lines and vote for the Democrat, Saban. There is no doubt he would surround himself with capable people and give 100%. This is obviously a hypothetical and offseason thread, but I’m curious if sports and even political parties could/would be put aside to elect a capable, successful person.

No because I doubt he could coach the team and be governor at the same time.

Yes, as long as he still has time to coach the tide.

i would move to the state he was governor with great hopes and dreams and with a rejuvenated sense of what it means to be an American.

Yes. He strives to be a success. He has a great work ethic and is constantly trying to improve things. He is a great leader and would bring in the right people to help govern the state. I think he has the attributes to be a really good governor.

But, since he isn't and won't run, I'm more than likely going to vote for Walt Maddox.

I already have in 2010 and 2014.

I also voted for him to be President in 2016 and Senator last month.

No, but I would've voted for him over Roy Moore and Doug Jones

Hell, I wrote him in Senate over those assclowns Moore/Jones.

Alabama politics is a fricking joke, Saban wouldn't put up with this shitshow.

It may actually be a decent idea. He is detailed, organized, and calculated.

Probably better than half the Governors right now.

If Walt Maddox is the democratic nominee on the ballot he has a chance.

Young mayor who led the redevelopment of Tuscaloosa post tornado. I lived in Tuscaloosa right after the tornado and I can say the leadership and response he displayed as Mayor was impressive.

Alabama almost voted fricking Roy Moore as Senator, of course they would elect the most important person in their life as governor.

No one from Louisiana should throw stones at any other state's politics.

There is a Politics Board and an OT Board. This is a stupid thread by a stupid person. Just because the Bammers are stupid enough to live their lives through the football team of a school they couldn't get into, they think everyone should be subjected to their idiotic opinions.
