Sounds like Milroe was suspended though he didn't say that officially but it was a coaches decision and that some people didn't respond in practice after a loss like they should have. I suspect Milroe will be back the rest of the way. Milroe has all of the tools but doesn't see the field. They're going to have to go to a run heavy offense with him as a running option and just pound it to win games.

Yeah, its as if Miles brain/spirit has invaded Saban's body.

And to date, They have made no one QUIT”. Lol. You hate to see it.

With all the highly ranked QB’s they have I can’t believe what they are putting on the field
Are rankings wrong or they don’t have the coaching?
Loving every minute of it

NIL and transfer portal has made it easier for other college teams to catch up to the Alabamas of the world , who were otherwise giving elite players money underneath the table.
Saban has yet to adapt to that.
Kind of hard to retain multiple five-star quarterbacks, on your team, when every one of them wants to be playing and chasing money and glory somewhere else.

They would have won by 30 with Milroe today
All most makes me wonder if he was trying to prove a point. You know he doesn’t like to be questioned. Everybody chuckled at how he responded to that fan on that radio show call but I don’t think he was necessarily just being funny. Y’all know better than me? Aight, let’s play both backups and see? You see what we got besides Milroe? Aight now shut the frick up.

They may still, but they have a rockier road ahead than previous years. And yes, Milroe would have played much better yesterday

I just wish we were playing them this week, and maybe next

Hummm? Looks to me like that Name,Image, and Likeness (NIL) arrangement has effectively denied Alabama boosters the ability to buy talent. The market now allows collegiate players more choice in choosing a program.
Originally, I was opposed to NIL but I've had an epiphany. NIL away athletes.
But I still believe the purpose of a football scholarship is so a young athlete can get a good education at a great university.

This right here.

quote:This isn't the point. He could have gotten just about any coaching job after the Miami failure. He chose a school in the same division as LSU and then recruited Louisiana. A lack of hate for these actions is a character flaw. And that's not even mentioning the assholeish behavior here, there and everywhere. I mean, the guy banned a staffer from contact with him simply because she complimented his hair.
One of the ways in which society has gotten worse is the loss of the ethic of respect for one’s competition.

Now they know how it was under Miles

The jury is still out on Saban being able to develop quarterbacks with the emphasis on the plural. He has sent multiple RBs, WRs, to very successful All-Pro careers. There was a reason why Miami was QB U.
If you want to be an NFL QB there are still plenty of options out of high school.

he has seven national championships, that is his job, leave the qb camps to the Mannings

He’s a defensive coach, so that job primarily falls on his OC/QBs coach. I don’t remember him ever having a bad one until Rees. I don’t think it’s necessarily that he’s bad, just inexperienced. Some young guys can naturally step into the role and hit the ground running, and others need time to develop their skill under someone.

There is something going on over there and it's more than just bad quarterbacks. They were loaded with NFL talent last year and we beat them with a rag tag bunch of players Kelly threw together. In the past years Saban would have lost his mind if the players were playing like they are this year.

Can’t stand Bama, but to say they were “handed” championships is just an awful take. Hate him or love him, what Saban has done for that program, school, state is otherworldly and he’s the reason they have relevancy in modern day football.

Alabama is currently staring at 4-5 losses. Things are that bad. But I can almost guarantee as bad as they are, they are going to play the LSU game like their lives depend on it. Sadly, you just know it's gonna happen, being a road game too. Coach Kelly knows this too. Just can't get tripped up by it.

It’s really not surprising if you saw Milroe last year when he played
I said all summer Bama was ranked way too high because they didn’t have a qb
The kid from ND is terrible, he was terrible at ND
