Only thing I worry about is all this notoriety that LSU is getting, I'm afraid it will affect a referees judgment in a crucial game.

Like a Saints " No Call"

Or if LSU going all the way, you'll have those nonsense comments:

"well LSU cheated with Pro players"
We got to limit turnovers and make our field goals

That's pretty much several of the goals of every game you play !!!

That along with at the end of the game, have more points than the other guy . ??

the lack of execution, lack of drive from players , and the penalties was just infuriating.

It is a shame the NFL and Players Association has gotten soft on practices because the coaches need to run these guys till they puke.
Basically zero starters played. There’s nothing to take away from this game. The joint practices are where progress is made

Oh I get it, but there is one thing to take out of this.

Nothing good happens going out to California.
.....instead of watching this game.

Thank God this is preseason and not a real game.

So far , he is not doing himself any favors earning the #2 spot.

I quit paying attention to the AP whenever they handed their fake National Title trophy to USC instead of LSU
In the 2003 NFL Draft, when Saints traded two first-round picks (Nos. 17 and 18 overall) plus a second-rounder to the Cardinals and select defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan????

I think the Cardinals got Anquan Boldin with one of those pics
My buddy and I looked at that bust of Brees and felt like it didn't look like him.

Looked like an old man.

Anybody else feel the same?
If he signs, would the Saints get some form of compensatory pick the following draft?

..or is the math not in the Saints favor?

I could never understand that compensatory formula they use.
Matt Ryan and Cam Newton got the MVP , which tells me all I need to know about that particular award.

The only real MVP, I care about , is the Super Bowl MVP.
I actually don't mind most of our games being the noon game.

One , you don't have to wait all day for the game to start,

Two, up here in North Louisiana you don't have to compete with the damn Cowgirls on TV as much

Besides we know how the NFL is, they're going to play the big city teams or the teams that have that special player on Prime Time as much as possible. It's all about ratings.

Look at the Rams, ever since they went back to LA , Goodell has had a hard on , to showcase them.
Californians hauling arse for Texas, it’s only going to get worse.

God I hope not.

I hope they leave their politics there and don't ruin Texas like they did California.

What's your grade on this draft??

Tired of hearing from the media, wanted to know your draft grade?

Me , I give it a solid B+, maybe an A- when you throw in the Tyree Wilson trade. (I like the one year tryout for a 5th round pick)

I would have loved Downs with first pick, but I am happy we gave our....cough.... " young" quarterback some weapons and protection.

t's almost a guarantee that he will play the game of his life against the Saints now and suck the rest of the year

I said the same thing to my buddy. He won't do jack all season until they face the Saints, then he'll turn into Ray Lewis or Lawrence Taylor
Yes because drafting receivers in the late rounds clearly singles you think they can replace a top 15 WR

I might want to remind you one of the best receivers in Saints history was drafted in the 7th round out of Hofstra.

There have been some very good late round wide receivers, that have replaced high draft picks

It's not a stretch to think that the Saints front office is thinking long-term. You draft a bunch of receivers to see if they can do what Olave can do

If they look to work out, you wont have to shell out a ton of money for a player has been in concussion protocol several times.

I think that speaks more to who was on the roster before the draft.

Oh I get that, no question our wide receiver room sucked ,outside of Olave.

However, the Saints are staring at a $25 to 30 million a year salary with a receiver that has been in a few concussion protocols.

.... and the Saints are trying to clear off their books of bad contracts.

You think this coaching staff wants to help Shough out ??
His daddy played for the damn Falcons.

I wonder how his dad feels about that and how old school Falcon fans feel about that?

Plus his defensive coordinator in college was Matt Patricia, which I'm sure he got some NFL defensive coaching
Mark Ingram calling for Ravens.

Saying " my Baltimore Ravens "

He was only there for like a year or two
