Kelly - I have confidence in these freshmen in our secondary, they are elite players

TTT - Yes coaches are going to say positive things, but Kelly seemed very confident, more so than expected about his freshmen secondary. Unlike some here, he seemed to be looking forward to seeing how they perform vs Alabama. Interesting!

LSU’s defense is not as bad as the stats either.

Have enough faith in LSU’s defense to get the job done vs Alabama

TTT - The key to beating LSU and its explosive offense is for Alabama’s offense to sustain drives. The key to sustaining an offense on long drives starts with the Oline and it’s a place LSU can cause this Alabama offense much havoc. Have enough faith in LSU’s defense to get the job done vs Alabama, enough faith to win the battle of the trenches. Alabama’s weakest links are at QB and Oline. Have enough faith in LSU’s defense up front to confuse both QB and Oline enough to get the job done.

Exactly, time to move on from trashing this LSU defense. You know Jenkins will be working with House for these next two weeks to come up with a plan to go after Alabama’s weak link, it’s Oline.

Alabama forced a punt the drive before the tipped INT.
They didn't force anything. Mason Taylor dropped a perfectly thrown pass in Alabama territory. We probably go on to score if he catches it.

Alabama forced a FG attempt in the 1st half.
Daniels put them in position to score. I never said every drive resulted in touchdowns.
quote:
Alabama forced a turnover on downs in the 1st half.
I already said that.
Look, if ya'll want to discuss how bad our defense sucks I'll jump right in with you. Trying to argue that Daniels or our offense sucks is a losing battle.

100% agree, I'm not arguing that. Daniels is the best offensive player in the country. Was just noting the number of stops.
As I said in another thread, if you are counting stops, that means the offense was pretty good.

When Bama players return to Baton Rouge, hopefully it’s not going to rain piss balloons on them. Just on the Bama fans.
Piss balloons will never take the pain away from you after you saw your defense get nuts drug all over them for 4 quarters.

Bama had a 7 minute drive after the hit heard 'round the bayou and took the clock down to 4:30 remaining in the game. Could have put another insurance TD up if necessary. LSU defense couldn't stop the run if they had 12 guys out there, so just admit that your chances of winning were next to nothing after Daniel's pick.
I already have in this very thread. Our defense cost us the game. We would have lost whether Daniels got injured or not. I'm just arguing with the idiots in this thread who are trying to argue that Daniels sucks despite all evidence to the contrary.

Oof. LSU fans are still talking about this?
Alabama has moved on, will play in the SECCG and has all of their goals ahead of them.
LSU? Their season ended 5 days ago and became little more than just another ranked win on Alabama's resume.

You missed this tidbit from Kelly’s press conference Chicken

Coach Brian Kelly “we heard how bad this defense is.” Kelly made sure to note that to the fans and press then he explained how the LSU defense improved vs Aub and needs to continue to improve to compliment LSU’s offense. I think Kelly sees what I see. This LSU defense especially with Perkins becoming a force has finally turned the corner, they seemed more aggressive at stopping the run. If you play back the highlights, there was some gang tackling going on, numerous Tigers around the ball and the ball carrier. We hadn’t seen that all year.

Bama fans lie? Knocking Daniels out should not have any effect on LSU’s defense in the fourth quarter, Bama earned this.
