That and my wife and in-laws are bama fans. So I was just curious with the gambling angle.

It would give Saban an excuse. But I doubt he let's anyone sit. He would probably kick them off the team to be smart.

Right before they're declaring for the draft anyway???

I don't think he'd have a choice if they declared for draft and packed and left on their own. As much as folks in Bama want to think he owns the athletes he doesn't. Agents about to own half that offense, just how it is when you're that talented and available.

What are Alabama fans thoughts on him as an NFL prospect? At times he looked like a monster rushing the passer then other times he was invisible.

Exactly what you said. I really have no idea what to expect from him in the NFL. Could do nothing at all, could be one of those 3rd round picks who explodes and is a pass rush animal.

Any inside info on his work ethic or if he is team first kind of player?

He's had a really really hard college career. He's basically had 2 season ending injuries and multiple others during his few healthy seasons.

So, he clearly works his arse off. I think that there was probably a bit of hesitation and trying to not get hurt at times this year for him, especially after he had a huge 2-3 week period in the middle of the season. And honestly, I don't blame him. He's already going to be labeled an injury guy, and one more injury and his career was probably done.

He's a great talent - really hope he stays healthy. If he does I think he'll have a solid career.

Simply as football fans, wouldn't you want to know? Experienced senior players missing the game surely has an impact on the chances of victory, no?

The only person I've heard make a decision either way is Jerry Jeudy, who says he will play in the bowl game.

So I guess that makes only 9.
