You did a lot of research for nothing. Never said it would revert back to the .500 years, but to think the next coach will have smooth sailing is ignorant. Fans like some on here are going to make life very difficult when those bumps occur.

+1 for a take I haven't seen.

-100 for getting so much of your self worth from your fandom of a football team (and I know you are only talking about the football side of the university because your metaphor does not work at all if you are talking about the university itself compared to other SEC universities).

Listen up sport model. My self worth is tied up in my children and their health and happiness. So frick you. Go accomplish something real then check back with me. And by accomplishing something I'm not talking about living off your parents. Or your wife. Or Auburn beating Oregon. Maybe you have. I doubt it since you are possessed with FOOTBAW......

BTW, that post was a half assed jest at LSU fans in a good natured way for their obsession with Alabama owning the refs, the SEC and the NCAA etc. But it brought out all sorts of sensitive characters.

These Bama zealots need help. A tree(s) somewhere belonging to one of the Auburn family is about to be poisoned or a drunk LSU fan sexually assaulted or an OK fan suddenly attacked. Sad that how a precocious 19 year old with a dark complexion performs on a football field determines their self-worth. Sad for all concerned.

No. You said "Once Saban retires the PTB will have them back where they where during the Dubose-Fran-Price-Shula years. I use to think only the younger Bammers didn’t know history."

As if those 7 years from 2000-2006 were the normal for Alabama, but in fact, as noted, it's the worst span since 1951-57. The fact is that even with the reduction of the 30 games or thereabout, won on the field, that the ncaa later decided Alabama should forfeit because of some unreturned textbooks, and the fact that Antonio Langham signed a napkin for an agent in the celebratory aftermath of yet another national title, still, from 1958-2019 Alabama has won more games (544) than any team in the nation except Nebraksa (545).

That 61 year span is the normal, not the 7 years from 2000-2006. You're trying to spin it away, but thems the facts.

Now,are you ready for that ban bet that Auburn has had a worse 7 year span than Alabama did those years?

stassen

Kind of surprised to see that UGA is in the top 10

Is this post meant to be a boast?

It's information and I suppose a boast if you want it to be but the point is that Tennessee isn't an example typical of the Deep South because its history is much different as are our demographics. Our school was a Union battery, Fort Sanders was a Union Fort -- during the Siege of Knoxville and Battle of Fort Sanders the Confederates foolishly tried to march between the two and up Fort Sanders. They were mowed down in one of the most lopsided victories of the war.

Per Wiki:
quote:
In the brief period of 20 minutes of attacking, General Burnside’s chief engineer, Orlando M. Poe, wrote that he was unaware in the annals of military history where a storming party was so nearly annihilated. The Confederate troops sustained 813 casualties – 129 killed, 458 wounded, and 226 missing. Federal losses inside Fort Sanders amounted to only about 20 men, while another 30 were killed and injured outside the fort by Confederate artillery

When you use Tennessee as an example to say that 'see there were tons of white sharecroppers too,' you're being disingenuous and misrepresenting the South's collective history based upon one state that was very different in terms of both history (slavery, the war, etc.) and its population which even today is blindingly white compared to the rest of the Deep South.

That's a lot of post over such a simple question!
Yes, I'm familar with much of Tennessee's unionist leanings, and you fail to mention that EAST Tennessee was where the unionists were located. Middle and West Tennessee were pro-secession, and the state voted better that 2 to 1 to leave the union.
If you're gonna try to school folks on something, give them ALL the facts!

Sad! LOL! Here you are showing your desperate arse to the whole world wishin' and hopin' and fantasizing. You are the very epitome of your ridiculous and preposterous crap. Grow the frick up and check back when you get some better and more interesting material. I actually admire a dry insult to an opposing fan base which would darn sure include Alabama for about 90% of the posters here. Hey we've earned it the hard way, by kicking the carmolicking hell out of the league and CFB. But you can do better.

BTW, I'm not the least bit sad about your self slandering gibberish. Since you likely have issues as I guess at some level we all do. But yours are on display more than normal. Hey it should be obvious I like to frick with folks, especially those who beg for it. But damn boy.
