The 5th they beat the SEC Champions in the National Title game.

Pretty good run. Sure won't be taken for granted.

Pretty amazing. Spurrier won ‘91,’93, ‘94, ‘95, ‘96, so Saban needs to win next year to match that. I don’t know the years Bear won in the 60s or 70s to say for sure what’s the best run

Bama won 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and now 2018 under Saban.

60's
61, 64, 65, 66

70's
71, 72,73,74,75,77,78.79

they played less conference games in those days 6-8 games, and of course no championship game, likely some of those are shared

Bryant won 8 SEC titles in the 1970s. One in the 1980s. His other 4 were in the 1960s.

Yep, yesterday's game was proof that God elected Alabama football to win whether UGA was a better team or not.

The NFL realized many years ago that parity is a good thing.

The SEC and the ncaa should take note.

I know TigerDroppings is taking note.

Propping up the “money maker” could be detrimental in the long run.

It’s not like the NCAA hasn’t tried mightily to bring parity. But most of their changes have worked poorly to close the gap between the haves and have nots.

Pat Dye had a pretty good run in the 1980s as well.

Is that really even in the interest of a conference to do?

Match what? Spurrier won 6 SEC championships @ Florida; Saban has won 6 at Alabama (2009, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18).

Bryant has the best run, hands down.

1970's (won 9 in 11 years)
71, 72, 73, 74, 75 ... 77, 78, 79 .. 81

1960's (4 in 6 years)
61, 64, 65, 66

Maybe not.

I don’t think so.

The ncaa was happy as pigs in shite prior to the BCS.

It’s about money not parity.

You know that.

frick Bama. So tired of your fans saying what "we" have done. Fans haven't done shite. Most don't even have to walk to the mailbox to pick up their check the 1st of every month anymore.

SEC pride is horse shite. I'm pulling for Clemson. That girl they have at QB is a looker.

4th & 12 and the missed chip shot had more to do with it than Providence, trust me.
