Alabama Football since the infamous Kick Six game

Overall Record: 91-9 (.910)
SEC Record: 53-5 (.913)
SEC Championships: 5
National Championships: 3
The introduction of Gus Malzahn and Hugh Freeze into the SEC did not slay the beast. They simply made the beast more powerful by forcing him to adapt. When Saban asked if this is what we wanted football to become, many here interpreted that as fear. It wasn't fear. It was a warning.

Listen. Saban and 'Bama have been absolutely dominant and he and the program deserve all the accolades but do you have to speak like you're giving a wrestling promo?

In this conference especially, that is just absurd.

Kick six isn't infamous unless you're a Bama fan. For everyone else it was one of the best endings to a game ever.

Gus will win more championships than Saban and run him out of Tuscaloosa, said the clowns.

Saban beat them all at their own game while adapting into something I never thought I'd see. He's truly the GOAT.

And Auburn has clung to it for dear life, like their daddys did with Punt Bama Punt while Bear kicked their teeth in for the next decade and won 3 more national championships.

That's what amazes me the most about what he's done. He has totally evolved...at his age. He saw the writing on the wall that he would have to start scoring more points and he made the moves (with players and coaches) to accomplish that.

And it's since become a footnote. Much like the '72 Iron Bowl where they were chanting "Punt, Bama, Punt!" after the game.

That was the game that ended the Alabama dynasty, I remember reading tons of posts and articles about it.
Saban's Bama dynasty has been ended about 4 different times now I think we're up to.

And the coach who won it rode it for 7 years and 50M dollars and is now unemployed.

No doubt. Saban can be hard headed too. Honestly, I didn't think he'd change. Not quite like he has. He reversed his thinking and coaching style completely from defensive to offensive, and that's only scratching the surface of all the changes he made.

Makes LSU 19 run even more impressive
Did it in height of Saban era
Bama 19 team was likely more talented than the 20 version
20 version just had a lot of motivation with two years and no title to show for it.
Until a team recruits with Saban it's going to continue to be difficult to beat him on a consistent basis.

Nobody is going to beat Saban on a consistent basis, sorry to say. The last 11 years is evidence of that.

Yes and no. The 2018 and 2019 teams had serious problems in the locker room. The 2020 team was the first team since 2017 that had some true alphas both on and off the field. It showed.
