I will never understand McClain. Probably the most NFL ready player Bama has had in last 10 years. Just everything seemed to be there. Incredible athletic ability, ran the defense on the field.

He is a thug POS. Plain and simple. The guy has tremendous talent but he just can't handle being a professional athlete.

Yeah, I thought he would be the next Urlacher type. Huge disappointment.

I know what you're getting at, but how is it Saban's fault the kids don't perform in the NFL once they are taken in the draft. I would hate Saban too for giving me a chance to make millions playing football.

But who has legitimately underpreformed outside of Rolando McClain, Kareem Jackson, and Mark Ingram? That still leaves, what, 12 of 15 first round picks?

It's not that difficult to understand really. The playing field gets 100% even in the NFL. You can't out-recruit anyone for bigger, stronger players and strong-arm them into anything. It's why Nick is a perfect college coach.

agreed and that's why Saban was a colossal failure in the NFL. On even playing field, Harbaugh will eat Saban for breakfast.

I love when people laughably compare the NFL and CFB.

Maybe if AP, Foster, and Charles all retire prematurely. He is top 7 or 8 in the league IMO.

Andre Smith and James Carpenter have been very underwhelming and Dre and Barron haven't really had the chance to break out yet. The last 3 draft classes for Bama have some serious potential though.

It's eventually going to be their demise. Sure the draft picks look pretty now, but they're turning out to be 100%, garaunteed busts. It's becoming a talking point, and that is not good for the Tide.

This is almost as dumb as my sig quote, which was also brought to you by, well you...

Andre Smith just signed one of the largest contracts in the NFL for a RT. He's considered one of the best RTs int he league and is Cincy's best OL. Carpenter can't stay healthy.

15-17 is by no means setting the world on fire, but it's also not a "colossal failure".

I wasn't implying that there was a large number of failures. I was basically saying what Ted posted is false in so many ways.
